  • I personally don't care about this fight because I, too, am sick of all these ****** catch-weight fights. If Hopkins were coming down to 160, then I think this would be great. It was also really annoying having to hear him complain after losing to Calzaghe -- he only won at most 3 rounds in my eyes. Can't wait to hear that again...

    • I hope pavlik does beat his ass...Hopkins should just fall back but if he needs a wake up call to let him kno its that time to go then let it be pavlik finishin him in 3 hopefully cause I dont wanna see 12 rounds of hopkins punchin and grabin its borin I hope pavlik is tough enough to be pushin him off givin him that simple 1 2 combo that'll bust him up..

      • i would love to see this fight, just to see pavlic beat hopkins up and retire his ass, nobody wants to fight pavlic at 160, i see this going 9 rounds at most, when this happens and i think it will, maybe pavlic will get some credit. everytime pavlic fights the same old weakness he has, hes to slow he is methodical, well he keeps koing guys

        • Sorry I don't want to read 12 pages, can someone tell me what weight they are talking about for this fight?

          • Ain't this a *****. Not the fight I wanted. But boxing not about what I want. (though it obviously should be, because I ****ing rock) I guess i'll take it though. But I'm not gonna spend the next 3 months touting how great a win it will be for Pavlik, because imo Hops was well past his best for the fight with Calzaghe, and he'll be well past his best in a fight with Pavlik. The ONLY way I'm impressed by a Pavlik victory is if he completely dominates Hops, or wins by KO. A workrate alone UD won't do it for me.

            War Pavlik, I guess.

I with ya Mel. And I don't have any dislike for Abraham. I think he and Pav should fight sooner or later. But I'll take pav's punch, size and workrate over AA's turtle shell D and punch all day everyday and twice on sunday.

Hopkins has never been exciting. But, he did just fight the second best p4p guy in the world on even terms for almost an entire fight. We're not talking about a shot fighter here. I would favor Pav, but don't count BHop out.
