yall are missing the point completely...........................

while every1 is crying over arthur abraham, paul williams, winky wright, and joe calzaghe, nobody realizes how amazing it is that ppl STILL think at age 43, b-hop has a chance to win this. and others are saying "if he loses, it'll be b/c of a lack of stamina, and pavlik will have too high a puch output for him to keep up." no1, except h8ers, who obviously don't really "watch" boxing, is predicting a clear cut KO for pavlik..............

that's why this fight is happeneing ppl. b/c hopkins is a legend, and even at this state in his career, he has a chance. either watch, or don't. quit crying.

You are correct, I think its just that People don't want to see a Kelly Pavlik that will go up against a MASTER of defense B-HOP. They want to see a PAVLIK in an all out war.. Kind of like what you would see with a PW or AA. We all know they are spoken for so I guess the NEXT best thing is HOP... I don't really want to see this just because HOP is YES a LEGEND and I don't want to see him lose again. I'm not saying it will be a blow out win for PAV or PAV KO'ing him. I just see this going all 12 and PAV winning a UD or split just because he's 26 with a solid chin and has excellent power. I like both HOP and PAV, i just see the young HUNGRY guy that's really looking for a Joe calzaghe to win the fight.... ALL my respects to HOP, the LEGEND and HOF'er.... dude did his thing and did it well.....

Hopkins will do what he does best and make Pavlik look average, regardless of whether he wins or loses. He turns every one of his fights into an ugly mess and this one will be no different.

i agree with everything you said, but this was the only thing left (unless you wanna see sergio mora). and also, i dont think it's open and shut that pavlik will win and hopkins will gas out.........that's just the ONLY way pavlik will be able to win...........

this is an intriguing fight, nonetheless......and i will continue to watch hopkins as long as HE chooses to fight. when some1 finally whoops hopkins's ass, then i'll agree he needs to retire, but as of right now, he's not completely diminished to the point where him losing is a foregone conclusion. right now he has a chance to win every fight he fights, and ppl know he fights ugly, and swear they'll never watch him again, but nonetheless, ppl will tune in for this fight like they did winky and jc before..........

Hey I like Mora too. I don't want to see him get KTFO by PAV though... I think in time Mora could be a great fighter. Right now he's just a so so guy that has a lot of work to do. But I like his speed and body movements, he just needs "mora" work. But hey, ill be watching PAV and HOP fighting... I like both fighters...

I REALLY enjoyed entertaining the prospect of Pavlik being a reigning Middleweight Champion. Instead, he's going to weight-hop because the money is there. Winning gets you money no matter what, so adding more of it doesn't do the sport any good.

Sure it will be interesting to watch the ugle, wiley old vet try to pick and poke his way around the aggressive, young champion. Still, there a lot of things Pavlik could have done at this time that would have proven better for him (ie: Abraham, Wright, Mora, maybe even Sturm...). If anything, this will make it extremely difficult for him to come back to 160 and dominate like he, and his fans had originally planned.

Oh well. I'll still watch it.

This is the wrong fight for Kelly, I dont know why Bob would put him up against one of the best defensive figthers of our time, I hope I'm wrong about this and Pavlik wins this fight but I have a bad fealing about this fight.

Honestly I don't see how Pavlik can lose this. Hop is past it. All Kelly has to do is average a good amount of punches per round and he wins an easy decision. Hopkins isn't going to throw that much anymore and his stamina looked bad against Joe.

Think how he will look against a guy who can actually put punches together. And on top off that with great power and a stiff jab. Hopkins will have his moments but they will be few and far.
