Taylor isn't exactly known for his defense or his movement so Pavlik being able to land on him didn't surprise me at all.

So Hopkins losing to Taylor which by the way were close and could of gone either way means he cannot beat Pavlik ? because thats not how boxing works.

The funny this is you think Pavlik will stop Hopkins, You can't stop someone when you don't have one punch knockout power and won't be able to land on them enough, Stop overating Pavliks power.

As i said before Pavlik probably wins a close SD/UD because of throwing more punches.
I don't overrate his power, his record speaks for itself. Ask his last (3) opponents if he has 1 punch KO power or not. Looks to me like he hurt Lockett 3 seperate times with single punches to me. Same goes for Taylor. Abraham hurt Miranda in the same fashion as Pavlik did but that was after he had taken those hard thumps from Kelly. If the roles would have been reversed, Pavlik would have one punch stopped Miranda too. Has B-hop hurt anyone since Oscar 04'? Nope. He landed dead flush rights on Tarver and Calzaghe and did'nt hurt them , just caught them off balanced. Over the course of the fight he will be forced to retire under the constant power punches that WILL land at some point. Calzaghe is not much faster than Kelly and KP does not punch as wide. He will hit B-hop. When he does, it will take it's toll and end the fight before the bell. I gaurantee.

That's why I laugh at YOU, not my jokes. Arthur has beat nobody except Miranda once. (he lost the first fight barring point deductions) So, he is great now because he KO'd him in the rematch after he got painfully KO'd by KP? I keep it "real" because I speak the truth and not only in opinion, so my only real fault is entertaining your opinions at all. Which now, I will correct. Take care , you may move along with your opinions now. I deal in probable FACTS only, in conversation like this one.
      Probable facts?

Sound funny to you? I should explain. Probable facts means that there are some facts thrown in to credit my opinions. Not based all on opinions like this knucklehead i've been talking to.

I have not once said Hopkins would ko Pavlik so stop bringing up Hopkins power. Pavlik has great power but doesn't have one punch ko power, he wears down opponents with accumlation. he did it with Taylor and Miranda, He landed alot of punches on them before he stopped them, and using Lockett as a example isn't a good idea, Lockett ain't exactly good now is he.

Calzaghe is one of the fastest fighters out there today, Pavlik is not even close when it comes to handspeed.

He will land every now and then but not enough to stop Hopkins.

You gaurantee Pavlik stops Hopkins....... ok if the fight happens i will bet with you that Hopkins doesn't get stopped.

Pavlik has a high workrate, and if Hopkins fades in the last half of the fight I believe that Pavlik will stop him.

Hopkins has an excellent defence and chin, but when your energy levels are low this becomes less true. When you're tired, you are easier to hit and it hurts more when you get hit.

Hopkins has found ways to stay at the top level despite his age, but I think that this will be one fight too far. I'm not saying that he has no chance, because you can never write the guy off, but I don't see this one going his way.

I honestly can't see Pavlik KO'ing Hopkins. We don't know if his power will carry at 170 and judging by his 2nd fight with Taylor he wasn't that powerful.

the guy has the highest ko pct of any middle ever!!!!!! not fair to assess his power by one fight with taylor in which both men fought great! kelly will have plenty at 70!

Kelly has made it a point in his last how many fights to knock down or out fighters who have never before been so. It is probable, based on math theory, that Pav will KO him late. I can only hope he does to put an end to Hop being seen on my screen. Enough already Hop, do more promoting and less boxing please. You are good and a shoe in hall of famer, but please get your old ass out of the ring!

We shall see. If does have the power at 170 then I fear for Hopkins.
