Is this the way BHops career is going to pan out now then? being touted for all and sundry, i used to admire the bloke and fair play to him, 43 years old and still going but IMO i dont consider him a serious contender any more and would urge Pavlik not to take the fight.

I see this going Hopkins way TBH...

BUT ONLY IF he ups his work rate just a little, Pavlik isnt fast and wont bother Hopkins like Taylor did, also Pavlik is quite simple (even though technically very good) and Hopkins is a master at figuring out his opponents and using their weaknesses to hurt em...

On the other hand you cant discount Pavlik's power!! if he catches Hopkins with a few bombs (i dont think he has one punch KO power with Hopkins) then we could see the old man go to sleep...

The key to this fight for Pavlik is pressure, he needs to apply educated pressure without leaving himself exposed to Hopkins' counter punches, Hopkins can't deal with pressure all that well anymore at 43 years of age.

Calzaghe is very fast and got away with that after the first round,.....Pavlik wont have the same luck because of his speed.

Pavlik can make up for that by sticking his jab out there and taking a half step back and unload his punches, which he is able to do, when Hopkins comes forward with his head down.

He needs to work the body as well.

But the problem with all this is that Hopkins is still a very dangerous counter puncher so Pavlik can't get careless.

Boxing is startin to piss me off havin fights like this come on..I dont wanna see Pavlik vs. Hopkins..I wanna see Pavlik fight somebody younger and tougher..Hopkins is boring he should stick to commentating or something but get him out the ring already...Pavlik is an idiot for even allowing his people to even make this fight he shouldve said nah get me someone top 5 in middle thats not bernard..I swear I might be an idiot myself cause I'll probably order it cause I love boxin but I swear I hope Pavlik knocks him out in 3 rounds...

Hopkins could very well embarrass Pavlik. If Calzaghe couldn't land a punch I seriously doubt Pavlik can considering the speed difference. Calzaghe won by throwing quick punches in bunches which left an impression that he was actually landind, something that I can't see Pavlik doing. Pavlik is also much more predictable and leaves himself open.

Nothing like losing to two whiteboys.

                    Pavlik's gonna take it, imo.

I was hoping this didn't fall threw, I guess we will see. There is only a few things I see out of this. PAV, if he beats HOP by a KO or VERY favorable on the score cards it could lead to a massive guaranteed fight with Calzaghe. on the other hand if he just barley wins (like calzaghe) or doesn't win at all he will go on to fight little 5'9 AA and break that little guys jaw before the middle rounds. I've seen him BRAWL or fight.. PAV will take his best shot, maybe go down once, get back up and KO this little guy. JT IMO would kill this guy, and we ALL know what PAV did to him. AA is too small and would get killed due to PAV's punching power and reach, PERIOD.... anyway I don't see this promoting PAV's career unless he KO's the HOP in which NO one has done before, let alone win convincingly... Like the article states he just makes the fighter not be able to fight.. If PAV walks away with a KO you better believe you will see CAL and PAV. Either way I see this hurting his career/stardom. BUT I think it will do OK on PPV, people will want to see how PAV can handle against a master of defense..... will it be enough to block PAV's punch? I guess we will wait and see.... IMO PAV by UD due to out working grandpa hop.... WIN or LOSE HOP is a LEGEND and A HOF'er.....

And there is nothing no one can do or say to change that, no matter how bad you hate Grandpa HOP....
