Two great boxers who have both lost to Calzaghe...but hey hope pav kicks JC's ass though ha ha!!
Kessler has got to get active though...that Calzaghe loss really affected him I think...or maybe its just **** management him being so inactive???
    I agree 100%....

Am I the only one who thinks this fight is complete bull****? This is definitely not helping Pavlik out at all. As stated in the article, it's a lose-lose situation for him. Hopkins will turn this into an ugly borefest like he did with Calzaghe. I usually watch just about any PPV there is even if it seems like it could be **** but I refuse to watch this fight. Bernard Hopkins just ruins **** for me. As for Pavlik, he is really pushing himself away from fights right now that got him the recognition that he has right now. I don't know why he isn't pushing for Abraham. I really want to see Pavlik clean out the Middleweight division and then move up to 168, not take on ****** fights that have no significance.

As a huge fan of both fighters, I have to say I honestly hate it. Bernard Hopkins is 43 years old coming off a loss, the man just doesnt have any more to prove at this point. I can see Hopkins being defensive and landing some decent counters, but Pavlik will throw way too man hard punches and get the decision. In the end? Nobody wins.
If Pavlik and Calzaghe really are going to hook it up after this, I can live with it. But this fight really doesnt do anybody any good. And really sucks for Arthur Abraham.

Not really, cause NOW he gets to keep his "0" a little bit longer... lol

I see ya point, PAV and AA would be a good action fight, but hey its not PAV's fault.... maybe later in 09

get the f--- outta here!!!!!! nothing in it for either fighter?????

i don't care what any1 says, u beat bernard hopkins (even at age 43), whether it be by KO or decision, that is an accomplishment. and if bernard wins, its a big deal to him too, it proves he's not "completely done," even though he may be a shell of his former self. thing is, every1 calling for him to retire, make no sense. as long as he is still in fights, and when he loses, its a very very close decision, i see no reason why he should retire if HE chooses to keep fighting.........

i see all these so-called boxing fans on here whining about PW, WW, AA, but there are reasons why those fights didn't get made ppl. its not hopkins fault. the other fights fell through b/c of money disputes, other contractual obligations, etc. and this was the next best fight available for pavlik. i mean, who would you rather him fight? sergio mora???

will be a close, probably ugly fight, but will do good for whoever wins..........

what it all boils down to, is this was the "only real available" option left for pavlik, and will be better than his last fight, and more interesting than a fight with the latin snake.....

don't like hopkins, don't watch. period. quit complaining tho.

i'm a fan, hopkins IS a legend of the sport whether you like his style or not. i will continue to watch until he starts getting his ass beat............

Don't watch you say? I think the numbers will show most taking up that suggestion.
