I understand the pickings are slim for Pav but he needs to be more vocal and even maybe go after Kessler. THAT would be a nice next fight for Pav. I don't know what Arum is doing but I sure don't agree with the way he is marketing Kelly. Pav needs to put the man in check.
    agreed!

If Pavlik can beat Hopkins more convincingly than Calzaghe did, It will put more pressure on Calzaghe to fight Pavlik

say what you will about hopkins but the guy fights the best, you gotta respect that. At 43 takes on the young undefeated champ and top 10 p4p in pavlik, at 43 fights the undefeated reigning champ and top 3 p4p in calzaghe, at 42 fights top 10 ranked Winky Wright, at 41 fights the light heavyweight champ in Tarver and at 40 fights the young undefeated taylor twice. With all the ducking and dodging that goes in boxing, it's very rare to see a fighter take on such difficult opponents not too mention to do it above 40 is crazy.

I hope hopkins can pull it off. It will be tough, I think pavlik is just too young though and I don't know if hopkins will have the stamina at this age just like against calzaghe, that's really what it comes down to w/hopkins is if he will have enough in the tank to go a full 12 rounds.

I don't say that there is no point in this matchup, but there are other fights that WILL be acclaimed by fight fans around the world. Sure, it is a Pavlik - Abraham showdown. Hopkins is now on life support, putting himself in line with big names. If B Hop wants a fight, then he can fight Glenn Johnson. Now that WOULD be interesting.

Please hopkins retire!!!!!!!! He is so ****en boring i rather see pavlik fight lockett in a rematch. Hopkins is part of the problem in boxing. When u see a big name coming up and people watch that fighter fight Hopkins makes them not like the fighter cause he turns it into a horrible fight

Didn't Arum say these older fighters should just retire and that the reshuffling of them in major fights is killing the sport.

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight at all. I think Bernard could give Pavlik the first loss of his career if he fought the same way against Calzaghe.

nightmare fight. Terrible to promote, terrible to watch, terrible for pavlik to be in. His management would be idiots to take this fight
