Sure, I understand completely. But the answer is what? Or whom? Do you see Rubio doing any better than Lockett? I feel the fight has enough question marks surrounding it to bring Pavlik many new fans. Pavlik rides so many currents with his career, being the face of the Neo American Depression and rising and taking over with his goofy laid back demeanor and knockout style. Hopkins will do more for Pavlik than he did for Calzaghe and its the best thing he has going right now.

Nothing jerky Kess; he made a good post with good points. But thanks for the ups anyhoo.

Mer: Hope you're right; for now, I disagree.

Right on, Cliff! Man, that is a well-reasoned article. Kelly's brain trust needs to consult Cliff Rold before making any more moves.

I wouldn't have thought it even a year and a half ago, but Golden Boy is doing a lot of damage to this sport while padding its promoters' pockets...

True true crold...and apologies to merlino.
Hey how do you think Mikkel Kessler would go against the likes of Hopkins and Pavlik??? Maybe Kesslers management should offer Hopkins some good money to fight in Denmark? Would probably never happen anyway.

HIT N HUG shenanigans by Hopkins, Arum said "these past their prime fighters should retire" and now look at his ass matching up Pavlik with Popkins

                  cant pick em??
I think Kessler could take it but Pav is excellent...hey maybe a future showdown should Calzaghe beat Pav in their possible showdown next year??
Two great boxers who have both lost to Calzaghe...but hey hope pav kicks JC's ass though ha ha!!
Kessler has got to get active though...that Calzaghe loss really affected him I think...or maybe its just **** management him being so inactive???

I personally don't like this fight at all. I mean I am one who criticizes JC for fighting and beating the old man, Pav is one of my favs and I will be even more disappointed if he fights Hop. Just a ****** decision. I would rather see him in against Williams for Gods sake! Winky would be along the same lines but I think Winky at least poses a better PPV match up. I understand the pickings are slim for Pav but he needs to be more vocal and even maybe go after Kessler. THAT would be a nice next fight for Pav. I don't know what Arum is doing but I sure don't agree with the way he is marketing Kelly. Pav needs to put the man in check.
