Besides that omission, none of the boxers you named sought to hold onto a paper title and ride it for all it was worth. Bernard Hopkins was the first man to ever unify the titles, then Taylor beat him. Jones cleaned out the divisions he called home and bounced around as he pleased, and like it or not, Mayweather being the highest grossing boxer of recent years, was the world to boxing and boxers and would have been regardless of where in the world he landed.
Hosting fighters from other countries? Are you serious? Lots of European fighters would happily host Roy Jones or Hopkins, they didnt wanna come. This is usually met by cries of "why should they go over there?" by American fans.

      I didnt mention Hopkins.

Jones spents years at light heavyweight without ever fighting Dariusz M. Mayweather picked up titles at 140, 147 and 154 without fighting the best in each division.

Somehow you equate their titles to being more significant because they are fighting in America. Once again, America is not the World.

This may come as a sudden shock to you but America is not the World.
When it comes to mainstream boxing where the big boys and big dollars are - - yes, America is the world sir.

I agree. People need to realise this. It is where the most money is made which makes it, effectively, the centre of the sport. You want recognition? - you need to go there.

As an American I must warn you about an obesity joke that will be made out of the "big boys" comment.

Joe winning a decision over a boxer whose biggest win was Mundine is more impressive than Pavlik handily knocking out the linear, undisputed middleweight champion of the world?

                Um... ok?
