Haye has only beaten tomasz Bonin at heavyweight, Povetkin has beaten both Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers. Povetkin is clearly more deserving og a shot at klitschko. Haye can't expect to walk straight into the heavyweight division and fight for a title.

Wlad hasnt got that many credible challengers at present, so i dont think it woiuld do that much harm to just get the fight with Haye on. People want to see it.
Haye might be rushing a bit, so if he loses it will be all his fault and he'll have noone to blame but himself.
But who does Wlad want to fight now? Haye has disrespected Wlad. So how will Wlad react? Will Wlad be a man and take the challenge. If he thought he could beat Haye easily he should be desperate to beat Hayes backside.

There is a sizeable difference between moving from jr welter to welter or jr middle to middle vs moving from Cruiser to fight the HW champion of the world. HW is a totally different story to Cruiserweight. Haye needs to prove himself at HW. I'm sure he can beat the likes of Maskaev, he just needs to do it first in order for the fight against Wlad to happen.

Also, you seem to think Haye will have too much for Wlad. I'm not sure you have been watching Wlad recently but I think Haye is really going to struggle to land big shots on Wlad, he looks really commanding out there at the moment. Haye is a little chinny and Wlad has one hell of a big right hand. How do you think he is going to be able to combat those coming down at him while he is trying to land his big shots?
