Wlad has said in the past its both about being #1 and making money. Well, he'd still be #1 if he dropped the IBF title to get out of his mando plus he'd get his biggest purse ever by FAR to fight David Haye.

I think Wlad knows what the rest of us do, he'd get ****in hayemakered inside 3 rounds.

Haye cannot expect to just walk in and fight the number 1 guy straight up. He needs to prove himself at HW with wins over respectable top 10 guys. I like Haye and wish him all the best but I think he needs at least 2 solid wins before he can realistically start clamouring for a shot at Wlad.

When your at the top of the tree in your weight class its pretty much a given that you can move up and get a shot at the guy above you.

So no, he does NOT need to fight anyone.

There is a sizeable difference between moving from jr welter to welter or jr middle to middle vs moving from Cruiser to fight the HW champion of the world. HW is a totally different story to Cruiserweight. Haye needs to prove himself at HW. I'm sure he can beat the likes of Maskaev, he just needs to do it first in order for the fight against Wlad to happen.

Also, you seem to think Haye will have too much for Wlad. I'm not sure you have been watching Wlad recently but I think Haye is really going to struggle to land big shots on Wlad, he looks really commanding out there at the moment. Haye is a little chinny and Wlad has one hell of a big right hand. How do you think he is going to be able to combat those coming down at him while he is trying to land his big shots?
