Workrate is the main one he will rely upon in the fight I think and also his chin to an extent. Don't underestimate Joe's ring smarts though. I think they could possibly be even more developed than Roy's given that Roy has floated through so much of his career on freakish talent.
true, I was leaning towards the emotions part. joe tends to get hit and tries to retaliate with a flurry of shots that leave him open.. Jones sometimes gets ****** but not out of emotions.. I think Joe will get flustered and frustrated a bit in there with a faster guy (speed=something he hasn't really faced before, or at least in a long time) He is used to a guy that will come straight at him with no angles, Kessler/Lacy or a PUNCH HUG style like from HOP... Jones will move in and out with speed and angles that may throw him off, of course this is depending on Roy's legs... But overall it will be exciting and im glad Joe picked Roy to fight..... Ultimate test for both, even if there old men coming to the end of there career....

He obviously does a lot more than slap but again, that seems to be a tactic he developed to use against lesser competition. Walking in and slapping against B-Hop caused him to eat counter rights and headbutts all night long.
very true... he just threw his arms in different directions and got points for doing it.... he didn't WIN the fight he was given the fight.... he should have said thank you... because he didn't beat a 43 year old, just threw more punches than him... who didn't think that was going to happen...

So accurate that it hurts my head that more people don't see this.

This is not OLYMPIC scoring for ****s sake.

I am glad there is people who understand this. Thank You. The most important thing for Roy in this fight is his STAMINA. Which I am 100% he'll work on. Too much stamina= too much activity and when RJJ is active he is dangrous!!

Fo sho! Roy is smart enough to pace himself and fight competitively, but I feel like unless he scores a knockdown, or knocks Joe out, the judges will give Joe the decision unless the fight is clearly Roy's.
