Originally posted by danc1984 View PostYeah I agree with that. Its just that WESS is making him about to be some ******ed slapper that couldn't beat up an 80 year old woman. Kessler may be very one dimensional but he hits hard and was on top early in that fight. Joe did very well to adapt and come out on top.
Let's just not make out like Roy is going up against some hopeless bum here.

I think jones will take everything Joe has and not worry of his soft chin. I think he will effective counters due to not worrying about being KO'ed like in his fight with Tarver 3... dude looked terrified in there... I think he lost his fear about being KO'ed with fighting Joe... which will result in a more active fighting jones that be are all so accustomed to seeing.. That's all. Like I keep saying Joe's only asset is his work rate, he wont be faster and he wont hit harder and HE's defentaly not the better boxer... So his endurance/workrate as always will be his advantage... Jones I believe will over come this with boxing, speed and countering.....Something i dont think Joe's has ever seen or at least seen in the last 10 years......
I agree with you that Joe does not really have the power to hurt or worry Roy. I am not saying Roy cannot be effective or even pull off a decision, just don't go thinking that all Joe does is slap a lot. He has beaten some very good fighters and is a top level elite fighter.

Originally posted by WESS View PostFair, but the way I see it is, If 43 year old GRANDPA HOP can fight all 12 and JUST LAUGH in his face when its over and lose by a SPLIT... then a Jones who's 40 that's FASTER, STRONGER and I personally think is HUNGRIER than both Hop and Joe combined could win.. He is confident of his chin, BECAUSE as STATED JOE has NOT KO'ed ANYONE in HOW MANY YEARS?????? (MOOFO) ANYONE???????? ANYONE????????????? So as I was saying a see a Jones that is not reluctant to throw a punch, for he is NOT scared of any real power behind a guy that ONLY fights to win a 12 UD by points... and that IS why I see Jones winning this fight...

He obviously does a lot more than slap but again, that seems to be a tactic he developed to use against lesser competition. Walking in and slapping against B-Hop caused him to eat counter rights and headbutts all night long.
