Let's just not make out like Roy is going up against some hopeless bum here.
naa I just state that Roy will not be afraid of Joes' "POWER"... Because JOE has no KO power and I think that was Jones worst fear. That's all... I think jones will take everything Joe has and not worry of his soft chin. I think he will effective counters due to not worrying about being KO'ed like in his fight with Tarver 3... dude looked terrified in there... I think he lost his fear about being KO'ed with fighting Joe... which will result in a more active fighting jones that be are all so accustomed to seeing.. That's all. Like I keep saying Joe's only asset is his work rate, he wont be faster and he wont hit harder and HE's defentaly not the better boxer... So his endurance/workrate as always will be his advantage... Jones I believe will over come this with boxing, speed and countering.....Something i dont think Joe's has ever seen or at least seen in the last 10 years......

His workrate is not his only asset. He also has fast hands (admittedly not as fast as Roy's) and has the ability to make very subtle but important tactical adjustments mid-fight.

I agree with you that Joe does not really have the power to hurt or worry Roy. I am not saying Roy cannot be effective or even pull off a decision, just don't go thinking that all Joe does is slap a lot. He has beaten some very good fighters and is a top level elite fighter.

no doubt.....but thats all im really saying, Roy will not be affraid of Joe's punches so with that he will throw more, counter more and you will see an over all more active fighter than we have in the past...

also meant to add, against roy those were his assets..... not his over all career.... I think yeah he has "fast hands" but That's not an assets when the guy your fighting has faster hands and can BOX better and IMO is smarter than Joe in the ring...

Yeah Joe definately does not have the comparative advantages over Roy that he has enjoyed over other fighters. Workrate is the main one he will rely upon in the fight I think and also his chin to an extent. Don't underestimate Joe's ring smarts though. I think they could possibly be even more developed than Roy's given that Roy has floated through so much of his career on freakish talent.

He is confident of his chin, BECAUSE as STATED JOE has NOT KO'ed ANYONE in HOW MANY YEARS?????? (MOOFO) ANYONE???????? ANYONE????????????? So as I was saying a see a Jones that is not reluctant to throw a punch, for he is NOT scared of any real power behind a guy that ONLY fights to win a 12 UD by points... and that IS why I see Jones winning this fight...
Jones chin weakness was a product of weight loss and thats it. As for the fight itself watch 4 Jones to really make Joe commit and then counter. I still think Joe is the favorite but dont count RJJ out he might put that first L on Joes record. Peace

Whilst a fair bit of Roy's chin problems can be attributed to the weight loss I think it is still safe to say he had a little bit of a suspect chin prior to his trip to heavy and back. He barely ever got hit with a decent shot due to his speed but I think indications were there that his chin was not of the highest standard. See the Lou Del Valle KD for instance.

Against marginal competition, what tactical adjustments did he make vs. B-Hop? The only thing he did to win was outwork him.

He obviously does a lot more than slap but again, that seems to be a tactic he developed to use against lesser competition. Walking in and slapping against B-Hop caused him to eat counter rights and headbutts all night long.
