Calzaghe's sparring partner, who Enzo said would win, got blizted and it was obvious after that the Calzaghe camp wanted no part of the prime Kelly Pavlik. I dont blame him though, a hard hitting Kelly or an old Roy Jones who couldnt even stop Tito Trinidad, not that tough of a choice really if youre looking for the safer fight.

So Roy isnt a safer fight than Kelly?? Last fight Roy had i remember Roy fans saying that he is scared to hurt fighters so he takes it easy on them. it was a close fight between sturm and oscar, i didnt see anything "clearly", and it was obvious that Oscar didnt take that fight serious and he still won against one of the "middle weight champions" at that time. What i do know is that Vargas and Delahoya easily beat Castillejo and thats a guy that knocked out Sturm not too long ago, so that shows you what kinda fighter Sturm is.

and i have no problem looking for a bigger payday, money is why boxers fight, but im just saying he's taking the safer fight which some people wont admit. It might not be the easier fight but definately the safer.

Look, I am not saying Sturm is in Oscar's class, he isn't. I am simply saying that Sturm won that fight and, in my opinion, won it reasonably comfortably. I didn't score it very close.

Also, you can have a problem with it all you like, but it is not right to criticise a fighter for taking a fight that offered the most money available to him. He has a family and a future to think about and he is coming towards the end of his career. Money should be the number one consideration.
