I didn't hate Calzaghe until I started using this board. I also don't like when he compares himself to Rocky Marciano. Never really liked his fighting style(slapping). I don't blame him in taking a fight with a shot Roy for a **** ton of money.

Slapping isn't a fighting style and the things you have mentioned have nothing to do with your claims that Calzaghe has a terrible resume and that Pavlik's is better.

Taylor also ducked Calzaghe when he pulled a Hopkins and demanded double when the contract was agreed to. Taylor was going to get 5 million and the next day he wants 10 million. Calzaghe was also accused of "ducking" Kessler and Jones by trying to fight Taylor. Now that he's beaten Kessler and soon to be Jones he's "ducking" the guy who beat Taylor...

I have never once accused Joe from ducking Roy. All I hear is Roy wasn't prepared to fight Joe. The circumstances of the two just were not conducive to a fight. It is as simple as that.

Obviously it is. It would be great if people on here would grow a brain but I am not holding my breath. Calzaghe will earn the most money fighting Roy, what do people want him to do? It is a simple profit-maximising decision. For people who do not understand this, you fail at life.

It is just not what defines ducking. Ducking is when an individual is pressing for a fight and has done all that is necessay to secure it, including preparing to buckle on fight conditions including venue, purse split and whatever else.

If Dariusz or anyone else had said I will go wherever Roy wants to and he can have the purse split he would get against an alternative opponent and then Roy still said no, then yes, that is ducking. Dariusz toughed out a UD against Virgil Hill who Roy then KOd with a single body shot. Lets please not get into the territory of saying that Roy ducked Dariusz.
