As much as i like Ricky Hatton and used to think he was a top p4p boxer i cant help but thinking since he decided to fight Lazcano what he has actualy done?

I would say his best achievement was beating Maussa apart from that.

1, Tsyzu was past his prime

2. Catillo is a lightweight at best no LWW

3. Collazo beat him imo

4. He has avoided Ricardo Torres while he was at light welter not to mention cotto when he was there.

5. He did well against Mayweather and caused him problems but tbh Floyd is not that good at welter as he was at light weight, and super feather.

Not that many people i know watch boxing but they all think ricky is a great boxer.

I think he is far from it and i think Paulie will outbox him for 12 rounds, if Cotto cant ko paulie i dont think Ricky can even though it was a drained Cotto

i agree with javelin_fangs, i am not saying he is a poor boxer, he is one of the best body punchers in the world but is by no means a top 10 p4p boxer.

Don't you know by now? Top Rank fans don't care about facts. If there's a non-Top Rank fighter who didn't fight a Top Rank fighter the reason is always because the non-Top Rank fighter "ducked" the Top Rank fighter. It's never the other way around even if the non-Top Rank fighter's promoter made an offer and that offer was turned down by Top Rank.

Hatton is a great guy. He's also tough, but I wouldn't call him a great fighter. Very good, yes. Great, no. My biggest problem is he never fought Junior Witter. I always thought the fight would get made, that the UK fans would demand it. Now with Witter Losing to Bradley, Im sure it'll never happen. Any appeal it had is gone. But, Witter deserved that fight for a few years. T'hat is my only real beef with Hatton.

I wouldn't say he is a fraud. I don't consider him great but he is a good fighter in my opinion.
