As much as i like Ricky Hatton and used to think he was a top p4p boxer i cant help but thinking since he decided to fight Lazcano what he has actualy done?

I would say his best achievement was beating Maussa apart from that.

1, Tsyzu was past his prime

2. Catillo is a lightweight at best no LWW

3. Collazo beat him imo

4. He has avoided Ricardo Torres while he was at light welter not to mention cotto when he was there.

5. He did well against Mayweather and caused him problems but tbh Floyd is not that good at welter as he was at light weight, and super feather.

Not that many people i know watch boxing but they all think ricky is a great boxer.

I think he is far from it and i think Paulie will outbox him for 12 rounds, if Cotto cant ko paulie i dont think Ricky can even though it was a drained Cotto

I know what you mean. Not many of my friends no much about boxing but they're all up Rickys ass!! It pisses me off so much. he's nowhere near as good as most think he is.

ricky is a cool guy, but he has ridden the Tzu win wave for so long. he's been mediocre or less than in his fights AFTER that win and was so overrated by Hatton and Floyd fans when Floyd decided to fight him, its not even funny.

indeed, tbh i think he did well in the floyd fight but joe cortez screwed him in that fight

First of all, Hatton did not cause Mayweather problems. Second, Torres is nobody special and has not been avoided. Hatton avoided Witter. But whatever, the real thing is that he's a very good bully boy. Mike Tyson without one punch KO power. He's really good at what he does, but take him out of that game or use it against him and he's really just a tough guy.

He's definitely better than Gatti or Katsidas. He's no Duran. He beat some solid fighters and deserved his top 10 P4P ranking. Malignaggi is another solid fighter. So, if Ricky beats him then he might still belong in the top 10, but Cotto would probably destroy him late.
