No, it's a bit more complicated than that.

Perspective people. Was Margarito knocked the **** out by Williams, or did he appear to just start a bit late? I'm not making excuses, because I saw Williams win by a round myself, but lets not act like Paul kicked his ass from ring post to ring post for 12 rounds. Williams deserved the win but took more punishment than in any other fight up to that point.

Perspective people. Quintana beats Williams and all of a sudden, Paul is just a hype job and a bum. Fast forward to the rematch and what happens? Quintana is just a bum.

Losses happen. It happens when you fight quality opposition, sometimes by the slimmest of margins.
I wanna see Quintanna v Cintron. That could be a good one.

thats the sentiment in the first few posts in this thread which is what i had read when i posted that. for every one mayweather ****rider propping up margarito, there are 10 more individuals who do the same thing on the opposite spectrum for pac/cotto. that argument doesnt really hold. and the same people throwing out that accusion do the exact latter i just mention.

Which is why I think he won't allow himself to lose. If Cotto loses, its only the first time and a rematch would be huge. If Tony loses, it was supposed to happen.

          Wanna know something ****ty?

I'm probably going to be in Vegas that weekend, with no tickets.

Winner fights the winner of Clottey/Judah for a ticket back to the top of the division.

to be honest i didn't really feel like paul did enough to take margarito's belt but i kinda feel like his fight with clottey should of been a draw but i don't believe that anyone was scared to fight margarito i can't even see margarito beating shane or floyd

i think cotto is a better fighter than marg.

but styles makes fights...... cotto taking on marg is a big mistake......

if cotto boxes and keeps the fight in the middle of the ring and smartly goes in and out i think he should get a ud12 over marg.

the problem is no matter what cotto's gameplan......i think miguel will be lured into slugging it out......

That would be good. I think a better matchup would be Bert- Julio.

I think Q would win a decision as would Julio in a crazy fight.

The original point of the thread was that I thought there were a few Margarito fans running at the mouth about how easy the fight would be and that it is delusional to think this wasn't going to be a very tough battle for both men. Someone else responded by saying he noticed several Mayweather fans had joined Team Marg in bashing Cotto. Likely in an effort to rally against Cotto, the man who is most likely to inherit Mayweather's WW crown. Its not particularly bashing any particular type of fan.

Has berto announced his next fight? I feel like everyone's starting to get impatient for him to step up in comp.. unfortunatley no big name weak links have presented themselves in the division as good step up fights just yet. Everyone's still dangerous.
