Strange, because I feel Margarito would give Floyd more problems than Cotto.

I think he's saying to be seen as a threat to Mayweather and as the WW king. Considering he would still have to avenge a loss to Paul Williams and he hasn't fought any of the other big names in the WW division besides Clottey.

I think Marg matchces up poorly with Mayweather cause he's a bit plodding and his handspeed isn't so fast. However Pavlik was a bit plodding and slow when he beat Taylor so who knows!

cotto or marg has to beat beat sharmba mitchell and carlos baldomir first before they can be considered a threat at welterweight......

It would have been had Cintron racked up some big names between their two fights but unfortunately he did not.

Too put things in perspective, how many fights was Tony offered against Judah, Mosley or any other big name?

Its pretty easy to say he hasn't fought anyone of note when the guys with names never offered him fights. Yet, cats like Baldomir, Spinks, Mayorga, etc all get shots.

I like Miguel as much as I like Margarito. Both guys give it their all and produce a fantastic show. However, I think in this instance, Margaritos size and toughness will be enough to outlast Cotto.

Even then its ******, because Tony has fought more credible welters than Mayweather. The comment is just ridiculous in all aspects.

Definitely Margarito may have not have had his opportunities but that's not anything that can really be considered at the end of the day when it comes to comparing Resumes.. Who knows, if Clottey got more chances maybe he'd be running the show. Margarito's toughness will be important but.. I don't think his size is going to help him much. Do you expect him to fight tall from the outside? Cause being tall isn't going to help him any at close range.
