There's a lot of Cotto Bashing right now!

A lot of Margarito fans are really running at the mouth, and I'm not saying they shouldn't. This is a forum and they have every right to share their opinions and support their fighter but.. All these threads and talk of Margarito destroying Cotto with ease and inside of 5 rounds sounds more like insecurity rearing it's ugly head. The Cotto fans like the Marg fans are obviously confident that their fighter is going to win but you don't see them going on and on about invincibility and how the fight is going to be a cake walk. Any objective boxing fan realizes this is going to be a tough fight for both men and very likely a war of attrition. I hope this post doesn't sound like I'm talking trash to the Margarito fans b/c that's not the purpose but.. Lets get serious. This is going to be a tough close and hard fought fight for whoever wins. Anyone else have any objective opinions in anticipation of the fight?

I've always been a Marg fan. IF Cotto wins, I will not hate on him anymore. He is finally doing what I have wanted him to do for a while, fight a fighter that actually has a chance to win.

Cotto is the peak of the WW division right now. The Mayweather supporters absolutely can't stand it because he was recognized as being fearful of Cotto by some so it's an especially sore subject for them. The Margarito fans with Mayweather out of the picture feel they only have to beat one man to be on top of the world. Margarito has a lot more work to do though before he is taken as a serious threat. Cotto is just at the peak right now. It's not like he's been a dominant force sitting at the top of the WW rankings for a long period of time. The throne is up for grabs and the Mexicans can taste it. So can the Puerto Ricans though.

Of course, they don't want Cotto to be the legitimate welterweight champ and have a better record in the division then Mayweather.
