Yep, I agree with all of that. I posted before that there was a reason why Tarver called Jones out so long and so loud, he felt he had his number, and when they fought he was basically proved correct.

Roy was always gonna struggle with Tarver because he is natural counter puncher like Jones and but he has that akward stance being a southpaw that Roy did not like IMO on top of the he is tall and has a very good jab and good power

No, Tarver did lose the first fight. Honestly man, go and rewatch it. Tarver did all of his work in a few rounds. Roy won the fight with right hands to the body throughout the fight.

People say style makes fight guess what fighters change there style from one fight to another. each opponent is treated differently.

So you gotta see what is you pros and use it effectively against the other fighter. For some fighters they got speed and power but dont are not effective with it, There are many fighters who overall level of skills and fitness is better then his opponent but end up losing fight just because he doesnt know how to use his advantage.
Yeah i agree. the fighter gotta be clever and intelligent, not weak minded. Lots of fighters out there waste their talent and end up losing the fight

You may very well be right, as i said before, I wouldn't be at all surprised if on rewatching I saw that Jones had taken enough rounds. However, I am very sure of who looked like the winner in that fight and immediately after watching it I was convinced I had just seen a huge robbery.

                  Most deffinatly.

Roy won the battle, Tarver won the war. To use a cliche to explain that. Roy won rounds with right hands to the body while Tarver wasn't working. In the rounds where he did his work, Tarver had Roy in trouble.

I can understand how, looking at the fight, you would think tarver won easily. I thought you were saying that Tarver had deffinatly won.

Roy was caught by a similar punch against Lou De Valle. Only his chin was better then and the shot wasn't as powerful. I think he had trouble seeing lefts from southpaws in general. I think in his prime, Roy beats Tarver, but not as easily as he beats everyone else. Its a tough matchup for him and even when he beat him in the amateurs in was so close that Tarver always thought he was robbed.

As far as the best trash talker, I like James Toney. Dude is hilarious in general. The only one not to get properly 'dogged out' by him, coincidentilly was Roy Jones who had some slick responses. I dug the Tombstone Doc Holiday reference signifying that Toney was only second best... "I'm here huckleberry"

It was also pretty hilarious in the Toney-Peter buildup when Toney was shaking his rag at the camera saying "Im'a send him back in a banana boat to Africa"....
