Hes on of the most durable fighters ever..
I think he was a GOOD fighter skillwise..
Good power, good chin and hard to beat..

He def got some GIFT decisions (not including Pernell Whitaker, or Meldrick Taylor)
He was schooled at times by better fighters thats why I don't hail him as the best ever..
He went thru alot of punishment to win his fights which is why his fans love him

i dont think he had an amateur career thats why he fought almost once a month when younger. he's great though, rarely a fighter finishes w/ over a 100 fights recently, but i can only name a few big names on his record prior to his draw w/ whitaker, which he lost IMO. i think he should've lost the taylor fight too. after whitaker, he lost most of his career big fights.

In his prime JCC was an absolute terminator. His win over Edwin Rosario was one of the best title winning performances I've ever seen.

Sure every win of his wasn't against a name fighter, but Chavez is a legend.

The Rosario fight was a classic. A real phone-booth war with Chavez steadily wearing Rosario down. That fight to me was vintage Chavez.
