Hes on of the most durable fighters ever..
I think he was a GOOD fighter skillwise..
Good power, good chin and hard to beat..
He def got some GIFT decisions (not including Pernell Whitaker, or Meldrick Taylor)
He was schooled at times by better fighters thats why I don't hail him as the best ever..
He went thru alot of punishment to win his fights which is why his fans love himComment

I grew watchin chavez..and he definitely is a beast there was no stoppin him he beat alot of good fighters..fought pretty tough fighters too..the man had the most devastating body punch till this day..on top of that had one of the greatest chins also..Im jus mad he beat our puerto rican fighters especially edwin rosario..but I was always a fan of chavez..he did lose to pernell but they stole the fight and he lost to meldrick taylor but richard steele really ****ed that up..Comment

i dont think he had an amateur career thats why he fought almost once a month when younger. he's great though, rarely a fighter finishes w/ over a 100 fights recently, but i can only name a few big names on his record prior to his draw w/ whitaker, which he lost IMO. i think he should've lost the taylor fight too. after whitaker, he lost most of his career big fights.Comment

The Rosario fight was a classic. A real phone-booth war with Chavez steadily wearing Rosario down. That fight to me was vintage Chavez.I grew watchin chavez..and he definitely is a beast there was no stoppin him he beat alot of good fighters..fought pretty tough fighters too..the man had the most devastating body punch till this day..on top of that had one of the greatest chins also..Im jus mad he beat our puerto rican fighters especially edwin rosario..but I was always a fan of chavez..he did lose to pernell but they stole the fight and he lost to meldrick taylor but richard steele really ****ed that up..Comment
