I'm not trying to discredit anyone but I keep hearing these things.

Maybe you've heard it from Greg Haugen. He made some hilarious statements before their fight.

He said something like: "Chavez record is padded of Tijuana taxi-drivers!" The mexican public hated him for it. I loved Haugen. He was the king of trash talk in his day although I hated him for taking the undefeated record from my fav. danish fighter Gert Bo Jacobsen.
