You know, I wouldn't count Maskaev out on this one. He might be able to beat Haye and I think he's a decent test. He is coming off a pretty tough loss though.

He's much too old and slow now. He'll be an easy target, Haye will stop him in round one.

Maskaev is 40 years old, shot to hell and has chronic back problems....Maskaev has been brutally KO'd 6 times.

Beating old, shot to hell, weak chinned Maskaev dosent really prove much.

With that being said, Maskaev can still punch and if he lands a big right hand or left hook on Haye's glass chin it will be all over for Hypejob Haye.

Neither BoxRec and IBO, which go by computerized objective rankings, have Maskaev in their top ten.

Maskeav's has a bad back, he's old and slow. Haye is in his 20s. He's a coward for fighting an shot old boxer.
yeah but the most official ratings which the boxing world actually takes into consideration are the ring ratings. and maskaev is ranked 7th by ring. whether or not maskaev is an easy oponent doesn't really matter cuz haye will be ranked in the top couple of fighters after he beats him and that will make it much easier for him to get a fight with the other top hw's.

Wlad has only been hurt and dropped by big, strong hard punching heavyweights.....Haye has been hurt badly, dopped and knocked out by super middleweight bums....Haye will crumble when he faces the power of a real heavyweight.

Wlad has a better chin than Haye.

I don't think Wlad has ever been floored by a single glancing blow from a SMW or ever been stopped by a 40 year old LHW.

Haye is a coward for choosing an old shot fighter. Oleg is in his 40th year, has fought only once in the past two years, and has had serious back injuries. He looked very old and slow against Peter.

He isn't fast enough to have a chance of evading Haye's punches. Haye said he wanted to face a top 10 heavyweight - I don't care what the ratings say, Maskaev isn't top 50 anymore.
Oleg Maskaev is an old fighter, but there's nothing wrong with him besides his back injuries. He just destroyed an aged Rahman, but he has done that twice in his career. I think Oleg Masakev is one of the best heavyweights in the game as of now, obviously this isn't saying too much considering the heavyweight division is still in shambles, and is infested with old fighters, but I think Maskaev knocks Haye out.

It's better then Rahman or Maskeav. I'd like to see him fight James Toney insted of Maskeav, but it's a good first fight.
