Haye is a coward for choosing an old shot fighter. Oleg is in his 40th year, has fought only once in the past two years, and has had serious back injuries. He looked very old and slow against Peter.

He isn't fast enough to have a chance of evading Haye's punches. Haye said he wanted to face a top 10 heavyweight - I don't care what the ratings say, Maskaev isn't top 50 anymore.
Maskaev should be top 15 at least. How can he not be when he was top 4 at the time he lost to Peter? You can't bump a fighter down that many slots considering he was ranked so high and was champion.

That would be a much more interesting fight.

He hasn't won since 2006, and was inactive for all of 2007 part of that time because of serious back injuries. Oleg was brutally KOed in his last fight, and looked to be very slow and old.

It doesn't matter where they rate him, the fact is Oleg, in his 40th year, is a shot old fighter.

There is just no way for him to be ranked so low after he was just a top 5 guy at heavyweight. Reguardless of back injuris, he was one of the best and is definitely a top 15 player IMO.

He also wasn't brutally knocked out. He was stopped on his feet and even staggered Peter early in the fight. He is definitely not a young guy i would have to agree that a win over him doesn't automatically make him one of the best, but he was just champion a few months ago and is no where near as low as 50. It would be a good win for Haye.
