Veit was as highly rated as Lacy back in the day. VERY similar to Kessler as well, although the Dane was probably slightly better in all departments.

who you want me to put manfredo? bika?

it doesn't matter how joe did against them.

i'm listing top 10 off of paper records and name recognition.

lennox ktfo out of tyson. does that mean tyson wasn't one of his best opponents? certainly one of the biggest name wins.......
one of his Biggest names yes one of his best oponents no not at that stage in his career

Different fights though. Who's to say that wouldn't have ended in a couple of rounds if Brewer had floored Calzaghe?

Both were better wins than Hopkins IMO. Mind you, that was a prime Calzaghe back then - one who could outbox but also KO opponents.

to me it doesn't matter who gave joe a harder time.

i'm going off of who had the better creds/name recognition.

kessler was in his prime and hopkins and eubank was not but...... 20 years from now when a boxing fan looks up joe's record he's gonna say , "WOW! joe beat hopkins and eubank!!!"

the guy is probably not gonna say , "hopkins and chris was past prime. kessler and brewer were better wins."

u guys can say it wasn't b-hop. its all good. the average joe can't see b-hops brilliance. and if his name is calzaghe, he can't see his right hand either....

Hopkins was embarrasing running backwards for 12 rounds and faking injuries. He didn't even try to follow up after the flash knock down in R1. He's a spoiler not a fighter. No way is he the best opponent Calzaghe has faced.

kessler was definitely his toughest opponent.. lacy wasnt able to do anything against him.. if Pavlik faces him I think pavlik can knock him out..
