Or is there any other reason why they are whining? RECOGNITION maybe? I think so….

Ok let’s take a look at some significant fights that they fought before I tell the main reason why they are hungry of recognition.

Floyd vs. Baldomir – I witness an extra ordinary happening on this fight. Paying FANS are leaving their seats just before the fight ends. Worst they are booing the performance of the so called POUND for POUND king (running and not engaging much against an older and limited skill opponent). Is that racist? I don’t think so. Coz I’ve seen some of our black brothers and sisters are disappointed too and booing him.

Winky vs Hopkins – well what can I say. Let’s be honest, sometimes we hate judges decision coz there's always a doubt on how they see the fight. But the so called ‘pizzazz style of boxing’ of Mr. Winky does not get the nod of the judge’s always. Now here’s the problem, he complains about it and according to him its bias. Hey lets not forget Mr. Hopkins is black. Is it racist? Naaaaaahh…

The common denominator of these two whining is that they want recognition. Maybe they feel less appreciated. Both are excellent fighters and gifted with great skill. The problem is since both have unbelievable skill they never implement or imposed their greatness against their opponent. What I mean is that they are overwhelming favorites against some of their opponents but the hype never live up to most fans expectation. In short BORING. Who wants to watch a boring fight? Fans wants them to fight the best available opponent but they reason out of lack of money or star power or what name it….

For Floyd, He talks about his accomplishment from his amateur-pro days. Well we already knew his achievements. The problem is he wants us to recognize it, worship him as great boxer and glorify it. He talks about his greatness and belittle others achievements like Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson, etc…. Sad but true. Now you know why he complains about racism in the sport. He only masks it as racism but the truth is he wants attention & RECOGNITION. Sad little freak. Who are you fooling? Fight the contenders at your class not the grumpiest past their prime cash cows.

Winky demands more (purse) but give less to the FANS. Winky complains of under-appreciated. Hey ask the fans moron. It’s them who pay to watch not HBO. Most fans want action. They don’t want pizzazz style of yours. Blame yourself for being less appreciated. Opppss, Pernell had the same style “the defensive style” but we love it. why? Coz he still impose his offense after defense. In short counter.

    FORGIVE MY ENGLISH..
adios.. ique tenga un buen dia...

Judgining by some of these racist remarks in here there are a lsome other reasons why people dislike him too.

Many everyday working men are doing far risker jobs, every day for literally, millions less.

Floyd fights 3 times a year at most.

I'd have no problem fighting for his "slave wages" 3 times per year.

The guy is an ass, hes your hero and you feel the need to defend his every action.

      You're a kid. Its expected.

Gone unbeaten for one. What has Hatton done without Mayweather? BTW, the Mayweather fight was Hatton's first PPV fight but you think Mayweather needs Hatton? Please. DLH is the biggest draw in boxing and not just compared to Matyweather. Too bad he doesn't win much anymore.

DLH makes big fights on his own accord. Did he make the most with Mayweather? Yes, but

The answer is yes and there is no "but".

        Mayweather needs another big name.
I'd say Hatton does too, but in his country, hes big enough.

He wasn't big enough to get a PPV fight.

DLH doesn't need another big name to make a fight. His name alone carries a PPV.

HBO 24/7 is something HBO does not just for Mayweather. It was a concept that Mayweather came up with. He didn't "need it" to promote the fight. His money was guranteed with or without it.

        • Why is it that DLH - mayweather doubled any other ppv de la hoya had?

            Really?

If it was his concept as you say, who else have they done it for? I don't recall any other fights to receive a 2 hour, 4 part mini series.
Any coincidence that no other "star" of the sport has ever needed it?
Any reason other than to build his profile amongst the american public that DWTS was needed?

The concept was created because nobody knew who in the hell he was besides hardcore boxing fans. Even now, people barely know him.

So yes, he more than anyone else in those fights, "needed" a 24/7.

And you're just a jealous fool crying the "Everyman bull****" because somebody you don't like makes more money than you ever will. I don't worship anybody. I just don't like double standards and haters who can't stay factual if their life depended on it. Judging by the way you swing on Oscar delahoya's nuts, the word "worship" is expected from you.

                24/7.

HBO was banking on Mayweather to put an thee most incredible performance on his biggest stage, ever. Many, myself included, thought he would. Especially with all of his talk of "I'm gonna massacre him".

He barely cut DLH with a pocket knife.

You see his numbers without DLH, not even a mil.

                  lol,

                  the funniest part is,

                  is that you're actually serious.

Oscar De La Hoya isn't even in my top 30 favorite fighters.

Nothing you've just foolishly said has anything to do with this....

You keep bringing this up. Nobody compares to dlh except for tyson and a few other fighters. Who did Floyd do the 24/7 series besides Hatton and Dlh?

Yeah right. Are you really that ******? I guess the WWE used somebody "nobody knew" for their main event too huh?" This "unknown" made 20 million dollars for the delaghoya fight. The concept was created because it was good for HBO, the fight and all parties involved. You sound like a fool with that bull****. You're a hater. Live with it lol.
