Barrera came out of his losses overwhelm people that is why he is the best lower class fighter in our era.

As for the Marquez vs Barrera fight it is not as if Marquez dominated him and the part of where Barrera got one point off, which he deserved, for hitting Marquez when he was down was a turning point.

But for the judges they scorecard appear to be abit further apart but the fight is actually closer than it really is.

Marquez looks pretty good against contenders e****ally fights after the Chris John

There are so many fighters who would have won fights they otherwise lost if they understood that you aren't going to get amateur fight decisions in Vegas. Thats why conditioning plays such a vital role in those decisions, they give it to the guy who closes the show.

Which means he didn't win. You can't change history in one instance without changing every other close decision. Marquez fans wanted him to get the decisions. That doesn't mean he won.

I agree.... Did you see the first fight when PAC was fighting for dear life just to survive the first round? And, when JMM knocked PAC down in rounds 4,5,8, and twice in the 12? Damn, JMM sure schooled PAC...

What about JMM's sheer aggressiveness in going backwards, backpeddling and total disregard for humanity in counterpunching all night in the rematch??? PAC sure as hell didnt want to go toe to toe... JMM is a true Mexican warrior...

I'd say Marquez "closed the show" in the last fight with Manny. He absolutely dogged Pac-Man in the last round; I don't see how you can question JMM's conditioning.

lol...the vast majority of the u.s. and international media thought marquez beat pacquiao in their first fight.

for the second fight, the majority of filipinos, sportswriters, u.s. and international media thought marquez clearly schooled pacquiao. how can you say marquez is a step behind both barrera and pacquiao when he beat both of them?

marquez even went to the philippines to confront pacquiao for a rematch and all pacquiao could say is "um, uma, prrrobably, um, i was lucky in our fight". ****, pacquiao KNOWS he got lucky to get the decision. in boxing to win a title you've got to beat the champion and pacquiao surely DID NOT do that.

fact is this, pacquiao is great, really great, but so is marquez. both are great fighters and warriors. i'm sick and tired of all these pinoy fans belittling and downgrading marquez's accomplishments.

finally, pacquiao is a very protected fighter. anyone who thought david diaz had a chance to beat pacquiao was just delusional. styles make fights. david diaz was the perfect opponent for pacquiao that's why pacquiao looked so great. but didn't pacquiao struggle life and death with both his fights with marquez?

if pacquiao is the man he says he is (anyone, anytime, anywhere), he will give marquez a rematch and if he beats him he needs to fight joan guzman who has been calling out pacquiao for 4 years now.

now that pacquiao is the "supposed" #1 p4p fighter, he needs to earn that title and fight the very best!

most don't like the fact that he gives manny problems.

a lot of manny fans think manny is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

the people that disagree with them will more than likely bring marquez up and that's what irks a lot of manny fans. manny can ko morales , ko larios , ko solis , ko diaz......even if he ko's hatton , someone will always bring up the marquez draw and the marquez "loss" and it bugs them.

it's like with kobe fans. kobe can win mvp , kobe can singlehandedly get them to the playoffs , kobe can win scoring titles , kobe could lead the votes to the all star game......and when someone says he hasn't won a title without shaq , kobe fans go nuts.

me? i have my own personal reasons to dislike the maricon.
I would have to agree with this post

The reason he loses and lucky to get draw with Pacquiao is because Pacquiao shows he wants it. He goes at Marquez, he takes risks and chances. Marquez never did that. I'll give him some props, he tried to put on a decent show in the 12th rd with Manny in rematch, but it was too late. The man either can't stay on his feet and loses, or he's missing that special something that Manny, Barrera, and Morales has that gets them through adversity to pull out a win. No hate, just saying it how it is. Marquez is a great fighter, no doubt, but the reason he never got as big as the aforementioned is because of this "something" he lacks.
Barrera clearly lost his fight with Marquez. He landed jabs, and knocked Marquezs down. Marquez outboxed him the whole fight. There are people who don't think Pac won either fight against Marquez. The first fight could've gone either way. The second I thought Marquez won. Marquez exposed PAc as being one dimensional. Barrera even showed us this in the rematch with Pac.

Hell, Marquez clearly beat Barrera and many many people think he holds 2 wins over Pacquiao, myself included.
