ive responded to your post where you were saying Haye and Klitschko are not americans like oscar de la hoya which somehow benefited his sales.

im not sure if you're trying to confirm what i said or just getting the wrong idea at what im trying to say here
My point was that there has never been a successful PPV in the US with two non American heavyweight boxers, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. But if I came off as hostile or smug then I apologize.

However in america it wont sell much. When it comes to sporting events americans buy american.

If Wlad vs Haye is promoted right, it could do very good buys.

no not at all, i just wanted to clear it up, all good

you make a point, no succesfull PPV among 2 non American heavyweights that come to mind, and surely not many in recent years even among Americans. It's in poor state, and unlike the days in the Ali era, we dont have many trim 200 plus fighters. as they've gotten bigger the talent seemed to reduce. Physical condition influences a fighter's performance.

but there've been succesfull PPV sales in lower weight classes, if focusing strictly on heavyweights than yes, there's a strong case for lack of PPV sales.

but it all comes down to excitement. the best heavyweigth in the world is a boring fighter. im sure if he had a mentality of a young foreman, or a tyson, or was as menacing as liston and there were a few hard nosed challengers like jerry quarry, ron lyle around, then we'd have something on a plate.

De La Hoya is American and had a huge American following ever since his gold medal in the Olympics. He was not accepted for a long time by Mexican Americans after his destruction of JCC. Educate yourself, son and if you're going to quote me (since you love me so much) at least quote the whole sentence, so it's in context.

lol for a guy who's not informed you sure put your sorry ass out on the line to be made an example off

tell me 'smart guy' was de la hoya's first biggest career PPV sale fight against Trinidad promoted for its mexican vs Puerto Rican rivalry, which was part of the element, or an american vs Puerto Rico?

yeah oscar wasnt as loved by mexicans as chavez was, but it wasnt because he beat chavez up (are you reallythat ******?) it was mainly because he projected a pretty boy image, and was thought off as not having an ideal mexican fighting style. he later regained that status after beating vargas

also i know you love me too, how about next time you also quote the whole thing, instead of taking it out of context....jackass

I could see Vlad vs. Haye possibly doing over 500k buys once Haye gets some big name wins and a lot of recognition in the states. The thing is, there is no one of note that could vault Haye to that level at the moment and probably not in the near future. So do i think it is possible? Under the right circumstances yes...But i dont think the right circumstances will exist for quite some time.

I could see Haye vs. Wlad be big in the U.S. if Haye were to win a title within his next 2 or 3 fights and Wlad were to KO Thompson then they were to call each other out and Wlad were to say he wants Haye next and he predicts a KO then at the Press Conference they start some Tyson vs. Lewis type stuff or were they have to be separated by glass like Vargas vs. Mayorga. Then I would buy it instanly but I know im dreaming Wlad is too nice.
