Chavez wasn't even in a neutral corner, which he would have been required to be before the fight could resume. There was no chance of Taylor being hit again. It was a shameful robbery.

agreed. chavez fans can make these arguments. but at the end of the day, if this was reversed, they all would be saying same **** we are. Horrible stoppage. end of story.

It wasnt a robbery, and it shouldnt matter how much time was left on the clock, Taylor was kocked out on his feet and he failed to respond to the referee that he wanted to continue. What is the difference between that and staying on the canvas?

Not really, because all Taylor had to do was answer back.

          He didn't.

          He was asked twice.

at first i tought it was a damn robbery but after watching it again and again and again i am convinsed that one more hit could have killed taylor, he just wasnt there anymore.

Did taylor deserved to be a champ well yeah and that what its sad about it. But its done

oh but well that was great fight and even greater because of the controversy.

OK say he got up and won....He was a ruined fighter not because of the stoppage...But because of all the damn shots he endured...To say he was traumatized and ruined due to the stoppage is ******....Plain ******...If anything when you lose like that you come back hungrier trying to prove something..But we all now what happened in the second fight..

who ya kiddin? Taylor was ahead on the cards. chavez was undefeated, prime and easily top 3 p4p at the moment. to me it appeared taylor nodded that he was ok. Either way. I dont expect you to agree. but this is easily a robbery in my eyes. It was in his hands and taken away from him

The stoppage didn't ruin him, the beating did. He was physically punished, every punch was damaging to him by that point. I am not saying I would stop the fight, I am merely saying if you were in the ring looking at a guy who didn't respond and you are suppose to protect him what do you do? You wait for a response in order for them to fight again, no response no fight, plain simple easy and clear cut. He didn't seem like he wanted to fight again is the point.

That was a savage beating he took and he never fought the same, his head didn't have it any more. His entire face was swollen, he didn't get off of the stool for another 30 seconds or minute. Zab Judah jumped on the ref in the second round, imagine in the twelfth, it would just about be justified.

GUESS WHAT EVERYONE, IF TAYLOR WOULD HAVE ANSWERED THE ****ING REFEREE, STEELE WOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED THE FIGHT.

Sorry for shouting, but I cannot believe how many people are/were outraged by that. You have to answer the referee. I don't care if there's one second on the clock.
