i'm not saying we shouldn't have our own country. it's easy for us to say we're living comfortable in the u.s.
just trying to see from a different point of view.
how much better would the life would be for filipinos if they were say the 51st state of the u.s.?
how much less people would be in poverty?
it's an interesting question. would losing our identity as a nation be worth a better life for our people? it's tough if you think about it objectively.
the filipinos who fought and died for us was fighting oppression. would the u.s. really oppress us? we're not talking about the indians era here we're talking about the 20th/21st century. how badly are the hawaiians being oppressed by the u.s.?Comment
