well no wonder we don't get along. you're probably a commie.

all i remember when i was young was the protest after aquino got killed and the fixed elections in favor of marcos.

my uncle who was a colonel in the army was at my house with a bunch of his soldiers. my parents where there and a group of their friends. i remember was walking to the kitchen and there were all these guys there with m-16's and a ****load of money on the table. my parents and their friends were gathering up money to payoff all the army guys with my uncle.

after marcos fled to hawaii. we moved to la.

that's how i feel. we are an emerging nation. democracy doesn't work in an emerging nation because of corruption.

we need a singular strong leader to lead. when our nation has improved then we can go towards a democracy.

our ****ing people elect movie actors for god's sake! look at what happens with the ********* kidnappings. *********s asks for $100k. the families give $100k. the army delivers $50k. what the hell happened to the rest of the money???

HAHAHA!! I told you I was Visayan... Many NPAs here my self hating friend...

Im not going to admit to anything here on the damn internet, but whats wrong with being a Commie? Socialism has its merits just as capitalism does...

That said, PI is a new democracy within a capitalist economic system... It took America hundreds of years to be prosperous as it is now... All this corruption was common in 19th century America especially in large cities like Boston, NY, Chicago, etc... Once the economy stabilizes and grows then things like way of life issues will get better...

Yes thats true, however, Japan had an industrial base pre-WWII, and after the war, Japan benefited greatly through US financial support as well as economic/social policies drafted by McArther...

Besides, economies like humans evolve and go through transitions... Philippines is still agriculturally based economy as America during the late 18th/early 19th century... Within our time, Pi will transform to a more industrial/mixed/balanced economy which should improve the average Pinoy's quality of life...

The problem arises when Pi is one of the most pop-culturally bombarded nations in the face of this world... Even a poor child in the farm knows what a Rolex is... It is hard to know and want the "finer" things in life when there is no means to acquire them... Thus, the "feeling" of being left behind or a sense of entitlement which leads to frequency of corruption....

But as I said, every democracy has had the same experience, its just a matter of which phase of evolution it is in... Corruption, human rights, and other social issues will balance and taper off as soon as improvement in economy is seen and felt...

Erik Morales is a great fighter. He was able to capitalize on Pac's balance issues in the first fight. Pac has improved significantly and destroyed Morales in the next two fights though.

i believe in everyone getting what he or she earns.

in a system where everyone is suppose to be equal all it promotes is mediocrity.

people should strive for greatness even if they don't succeed.

socialism is something rich countries can afford. poor ones cannot.

people need to learn from history. the soviet union epitomized socialism for 80 years and where did it get them?

all that industrial based was destroyed in ww2.

we have also received substantial financial support from the u.s. in the past.

what did our great leaders do with that money? why should the u.s. give us more?

corruption is everywhere but there is different levels of corruption.

in america they bribe officials. our officials steal. big difference.

in america if a bridge gets done a company may bribe the official and the people end up paying a bit more for the bridge than they could've if they got the best deal but the bridge still gets made.

in philippines the officials steal the money to make the bridge and the bridge never gets made.
