Calzaghe Haters: What Is It You Don't Like?

I've never heard any Haye fans talk so ****ing highly about him, how he's P4P #1 in the universe and delusional **** like that. I've only heard Haye's fans being excited about his campaign at HW and that he should be able to bring up the division.

Because he's annoying and delusional....in interviews all he keeps saying is "Mikkel Kessler...Jeff lacy..."Mikkel Kessler..Jeff Lacy" he acts like those two have earned him the right to pick easy fights now....

Also the fact that a 43 year old Hopkins almost beat him, I sometimes think the Calzaghe fans only watch him and don't see all the shots Calzaghe soaked up during that fight also..his face tells the true story.

simply the fact that he is overated..he needs one big win on his record to be taken seriously...and to be considered the best he needs to beat the best, the best would be Pavlik. It's a shame he waited so long to try and get a good match.

Calzaghe is a green contender. Taylor and Pavlik would beat him. ALSO, he's moved up one freaking weight class how the hell should he even be considered the best p4p. Maybe if he pulled a Roy Jones and hit the heavyweight division...

He might. Joe is older now, but my personal opinion is he would still beat Kessler.

I am often puzzled by the amount of hate Calzaghe gets on here, and have been wondering what is the root cause.

Its easy to say that his haters, usually Americans are biased because of nationality, but that doesn't explain much really. Even if you are a little nationalistic you still must have an opinion as to why Calzaghe does not deserve your respect.

My theory is you all actually just don't think he's a very good boxer, so if I'm right, could some of you please enlighten me as to why you feel this way? If not, then please share you hate and enlighten me anyway.

I think Calzaghe is an excellent fighter and deserves to be in the top five P4P. I question some of the choices he made in terms of opponents over the years.

In terms of Calzaghe fans... I feel like we get too much "he could have easily beaten that guy" or "His workrate would have destroyed that guy" I'm more interested in what a fighter has done rather than what he could have or would have done. I'd rather his list of opponents resembeled Glen Johnson's. There is absolutely no reason it shouldn't.

So there it is... Calzaghe is a very good fighter... do we know how good he was? Not really.

Think back a couple of years and you'll remember that Lacy and Kessler were being talked about in the exact same way that Pavlik is being talked about now.

I find it quite odd how sure of themselves people seem on here. They state their fight predictions as if the result is already decided.
