I think that's why he shouldn't be in there (not that he had awful conditioning). Middleweights like Monzon, Hagler and Greb never tired and went 15 rounds many times, often winning their fights in the later rounds.
As for Joe Calzaghe, I don't agree that his 'chin' or combinations belong in this list, he has been down a few times, stunned a few times and hasn't fought the biggest punchers (solid chin though), his combinations also seem to lack the punching power that Robinson's or Leonard's had.
For 'dodging' defense, Benitez surely belongs there as does Nicolino Locche who, while not very fast or athletic, was extremely hard to hit cleanly.
Someone named Bobby Chacon for heart. I can't help but to agree, he could come back from beatings like no one else.
Punching power might go to Julian Jackson who could knock a man out with either hand and with any punch.Comment

He wasn't no where near as active as SRR. That guy walk and SRR moved around alot more then he did. SRR threw the jab alot and did everything he could to stay in that fight.Comment

How could I forget Benitez! He was dodging Thomas Hearns ALOT! As for SRR don't forget what weather he fought in!I think that's why he shouldn't be in there (not that he had awful conditioning). It's not only that fight though, he tired in a lot of other fights too.
Most of them when he was getting older but also because he didn't always have time to prepare for fights as well as he should have (for example against Turpin for the first time).
Robinson never lost a rematch when he was given enough time to prepare (sometimes he fought as often as twice a week) until he got old, so he could have great conditioning but not consistently.
That's why he doesn't make my list... Hagler on the other hand would always come to his fights in perfect conditioning.Comment

In My opinion
Jab: SRR
Left Straight: Pernell Whitaker
Right Straight: Thomas Hearns
Best Left Hook: SRR
Best Right Hook: Tyson
Left Uppercut: Can't decide. Need a little help with this one
Right Uppercut: Tyson
Flurry: Sugar Ray Leonard
Stamina: SRR
Blocking Defense: Mayweather
Dodging Defense: Pernell Whitaker
Overall In Defense: Mayweather
Chin: Marvin Hagler = Also best at taking the most damage overall.
Foot Work: SRL
Heart: I can't decide. I think Diego Corrales.
Luckiest Boxer: Rocky Juarez LOL. All good fighters come his way.
Worst Luck: Winky Wright/Bernard Hopkins
N e wayz ya opinion? I wana know what ya think Overall!
Straight left: Manny Pacquiao (he's koed guys in many weight classes, its better than whitakers, even Zab judah's might be better)
Heart: Holyfield, it's what the guy stands for..Pacquiao also has a ton of heart to..
best left hook : Tito Triniadad, Tua, Tyson....but not SRR
Just thought I'd throw him in since he's one of the newer "greater" fighters.Comment

You know alot man. Its been nice reading your posts. Marvin Hagler was definitly well prepared for every fight. I was surprised at what he did to John Mugabi. When I downloaded that fight I didn't think Hagler was gonna last. That dude had alot of K.O's and Hagler drops him in, Can't remember which round. It's not only that fight though, he tired in a lot of other fights too.

I know you don't appreciate 'older' fighters too much but why not SRR?
He threw his left hook short, with speed and power and not only could he throw it two times, but he could throw it three or four times before his opponent even reacted to the first left.

Dn't get me wrong but the fighters he named have great left hooks. But the reason I pick SRR was because of your explanation of his left hook. It was fast short with alot of power and he'd throw it alot.Comment
