      I give overall defense to Mayweather over Pernell Whitaker too. The reason being because I feel that counterpunching and defense should be somewhat included together. Sweet Pea didnt punish fighters for their mistakes as well as Floyd did.

        I think I'd give left straight to Pacquiao as well. Pac defeated legends in one of the deepest eras ever for featherweights. That's saying a lot considering his only real weapon early in his career was the left straight. I think his combination of power, speed, and accuracy was overall greater than Sweet Pea's combination of just speed and accuracy.

          Also Willie Pep was the best defensive fighter of all time, pretty much every boxing historian agrees on that subject.

            Well said. Said it better then I could. Like for example Pernell would make you miss while his back was against the ropes and hardly coutered in that situation. Floyd would alwayz punish you as soon as you missed
