    After every mismatch...

You see a thread singing the praises of a fighter who did what pretty much everyone expected him to.

Let's not go overboard. David Diaz didn't deserve the title he held, not for being barely able to beat a cadaver named Erik Morales - who had lost pretty convincingly THREE times before facing Diaz; a one-sided loss to Zahir Raheem and two big KO's from Pacquiao. He hasn't fought since.

But now that Pacman has obliterated Diaz like anyone could've guessed, we'll see dozens of threads extolling his greatness.

Don't get me wrong - Manny is either #1 or #2 on the p4p list. But this win means nothing in the big scheme of things, except for those who can now use this to say Pac won x amount of titles in his career. All well and good but this title is a paper one.

Glad to see someone else vocalizing this opinion. Pacquiao looked great, performed better than expected, and should get praise. But not to the level he's getting (there's like 10 different cong**** threads). Let's remember the opposition here, Diaz is a very limited guy with no much in terms of speed, movement, technique, or variables. All he ahd going was a slight edge in power and an advantage in size.

Diaz barely beat Erik Morales last year at a point in which Morales looked like rigormortis was setting in on his ass.

noooooooooooobody was expecting THAT kind of a beating. Hell, a lot of people and experts, including Dan Rafael, were giving Diaz a good shot at winning the fight.

Pacquiao put on a amazing performance. Nobody was expecting that type of a beating.

No body expected Pavlik to slay the mighty Gary Lockett in 3 either.

Even the boxing analyst said this will be a hard fight for Pac.

And a lot of the hype is because people knew, a good performance tonight and he is p4p #1. Well, its pretty exciting when there is a new p4p king.

AND, a lot of people thought he was sliding, well, he ain't. thats exciting news as well

That's because their job is to puff up Diaz...and make you forget the fact that you shelled out $50 for a sparring session.

If you struggle with a shot Erik Morales, you're gonna get KTFO by Manny Pacquiao. Really simple stuff here.
