floyd jr hand picked his foes....Joan Guzman has great skills too does that mean he is better then those legends?Mayweather never lost because of his skills. He was arguably the greatest BOXER in the last 20 years. The other guy being Roy Jones. Pacman is an exciting fighter with alot of heart. He is #1 P4P now. Pacmans division is stacked now, The only knock on Floyd is that he should have cleaned out the division before he left.
no because you have to fight the best who gives a **** about looking like you can slip a punch...james toney can slip a punch but he has proven that he is a fighter he never duck nobody to me james toney is greater then floyd jr cause james toney does want to fight the best and solidify his legacy.Comment

I was agreeing with you until this post. Floyd had the luxury of an amateur career. A time when he didnt have the same skills as he does as a pro. A time when he lost several fights. You dont think that if Pacquiao had more rounded skills from amateur he could possibly be undefeated as well? Or if Mayweather turned pro at 16 he wouldn't have a couple of losses from early in his career??Mayweather never lost because of his skills. He was arguably the greatest BOXER in the last 20 years. It wasn't like Pacquiao was fighting "the best" as an early pro. He was fighting second-tier asian guys.I was agreeing with you until this post. Floyd had the luxury of an amateur career. However, Mayweather's losses (or disputed losses) were to the very best amateurs. On a national/international stage.
So, i don't think your argument can be supported or disproved either way.Comment

Actually I would be completely kool with that. If floyd could unify 140 or 135 it would put to rest alot of my doubts about him. Beats arguing about who he did or didnt duck for whatever reasonComment

even though pacman loses he should have the adoration of all BOXING fans! this is the type of guy boxing needs in the heavywegiht divsion.
Pacman also is a special fighter he never had a trainer he would hit rice bags and taught himself how to fight...while mayweahter was trained as a boy he grew up privileged with great trainers.
Pacmans path is far more impressive to me and he will be remembered 20 years from now because of that.
it is sad tonight will be the decline of the pacman.Comment

I think he will be when it's all said and done. The knock against him is that the great fighters he beat were all past there best. Not his fault, he beats whoever they put in front of him. Pac will keep on fighting the best guys he can until he retires, and I think he ends up with one of the best resumes in history.Comment
