    Stop making sense.

      Exactly!

I don't understand why this is so hard to understand, which is why I keep asking him if he's seen the fight because it's pretty damn obvious when someone loses a fight based on being too small or simply being out muscled, this was clearly not the case!

Bernard is bigger then Trinidad, but not to the point where it affected the fight or to the exagration people use on here.

Its not really the backfoot when that's your game though is it? Phrase it like this if you like, "couldn't put him at a disadvantage."

Look guys I'm done with this thread now, I seem to find myself arguing a point I'm not really that bothered about. I like Hopkins and agree he performed well against Trinidad, but it is just my belief that it was largely his size and strength that enabled him to box so well, as I have described. None of us are going to change our minds now, are we?

Hopkisn is a very smart fighter. He didn't use his size advantage against tito, he used his supirior skills. I love that fight, Hopkinks fought....Well, if you seen it you know.

          He fought perfectly.

I still don't see how he used his size. A fight where bernard used his size would be Winky Wright.

Bernard Hopkins is a very cerebral fighter and sometimes to a fault. He is stubborn in the ring in that he believes his way will win the fight at all times. He waited and waited in the first Taylor fight and many thought he would start faster the second time, but basically waited even longer.

People are saying he won fights because he was so much bigger than Tito, but Hopkins didnt fight Tito like the bigger fighter would normally. Hopkins didnt bully Tito but rather boxed him from the outside, same as with against Oscar, Hopkins was clearly bigger but instead of using that aspect, he stayed on the outside and boxed and I think he did that to show people he didnt have to use his size advantage in those fights, if Hop would have bullied those fighters people would have said well he was too big, same with Roy against Trinidad, I think Roy fought the way he did because going into the fight everyone said he was too big for Tito but he showed he could box and win and not use his size to his advantage, although in the aforementioned fights, the size advantage in power was always there and showed in those smaller guys getting hurt by the bigger guys.

The first fight Taylor had a pretty good KO ratio which could explain for him being cautious.

Regradless, I had him winning both. It's been a while since I've seen the first one.

I haven't seen the Mayweather Corrales fight, so I don't know what he did, but knowing Mayweather I'd guess he was simply much better. As it happens, I do think Hopkins is a better 'boxer' than Tito Trinidad but I believe it was mostly his size advantage that enabled him box so well and look as good as he did in that fight.
                    wrong..........
