  • Is Bernard Hopkins a smart fighter?

I recently re-watched the fight with Tito, I never realised how Hopkins easily accounted for him. Grabbing him and man handling him, every time Trinidad tried to get into rhythm Hopkins upset him, counter punching and grabbing Tito. Against Winky that beautiful head butt that cut open Winky. The Calzgahe fight, Hopkins was smart little head butts in there. Is Bernard Hopkins a smart fighter. Your opinion please?

I don't like him, but he definitely is one of the smartest, trickiest, dirtiest fighters in the sport.

Props to you on this one Tunney! I know you really dislike B-hop, but at least you can give credit where credit is due..

Hopkins is one of the smartest fighters there is, its how he has been able to box on so long. However, the Trinidad fight isn't the best example, he was simply far too big for Felix.

Yeah, he's a genius. Anyone else would have like 20 disqualifications and their boxing license revoked.

absolutely he's smart. And you made it seem like he just spoiled tito, I thought that was one of the great performances, he was the better boxer in every aspect - footwork, speed, defense, counter punching, etc.

Size was a factor, but the way Hopkins used this jab in that fight shocked Tito. Tito was completely toyed with in that fight. He even did the Shuffle that how easily he was winning. How many rounds did Tito win that fight? I gave the 1st and 6th . But the 1st was a draw most people called it.
