Actually I think you're right. Floyd may have a speed advantage but it would be a very tactical and boring fight. The only advantage I'd give Sweet pea is being a southpaw. Other than that both being defensive experts I'd go with Floyd's slight speed advantage.

Nobody ducked Cotto's easy to hit ass..

He can't even say Floyd's name.

The same people that picked Hatton to beat Floyd are now talking out the other side of their faces calling Hatton too small and one dimensional..lol

Sweet Pea was dropped on his ass in his prime more times than Floyd.

Roger Mayweather put him on his ass.

Whitaker took on 2-division world champion Roger Mayweather in his 12th fight... He was down but he also put Roger down and won a decision.

Roger could punch too, he just had problems with taking punches.

Whitaker was never knocked down in what I would call his 'prime', from the late 80's to the early 90's. He was barely even hit actually.

Prime Roy Jones Jr. vs Prime Darius Michalczewski. I was waiting for this fight to happen for 5 years. Then Roy got old and knocked out against Tarver and Johnson and Darius lost to Gonzales.

when he fought at 140 imo. just go back and watch how elusive he was against gatti and corley.

and as far as the threadstarter is concerned, it's easy to claim what you claimed without putting a mayweather fight up on this thread isn't it. just go back and watch floyd vs justin jukko. hell, somebody put that fight on this thread, and you'll see why not even sweet pea could touch floyd, floyd was too methodical a fighter. sweet had amazing head movement, but he relied on his head movement, but floyd has great head and upperbody movement and could block far better than sweet pea, which people leave out. i ****ing wonder why. bunch of haters.

watch floyd vs justin jukko or floyd vs gatti, and not because of how gatti performed, but because of how sharp floyd was that whole fight, from countering from feinting angles with his left hooks to right hands, to his combo in round 6, to his fighting off of the ropes, to his whole arsenal that night, and you would have a fighter that was close as to an unbeatable fighter as it comes, trust me. floyd at 140 couldn't be touched just like at 130

his speed was a thing of beauty, because he wasn't just fast with his head and upperbody movement, he had finesse to it, it looked too pure to be true.

he was a pure fighter meaning he did mostly everything right, but from many angles, which only adds to his methodical fighting style.

just watch these 2 fights and you'll see why.
