Joe fought nobody in their prime from the other side of the pond. He beat europe's finest and avoided the best of the wild wild west. this is a fact the six ******s who voted for joe are oblivious too, but everyone in boxing knows the score! i hate the fact that the Brit press will fool all them dumb beer bellies and convince them with their propoganda that the BBC Sports Personality of the Year fought them both in their primes!

Bernard and RJJ is the better names. No insult to Hatton...doesn't matter how you put it...Even beating an old B-Hop and RJJ is better then beating Hatton. Ofcourse, Floyd has the MUCH better resume but if Calzaghe beat a prime B-Hop and RJJ then its up for debate...OR maybe NOT

Surely you realise its a little harder to go through the weights when you start at 168 instead of 130......

Floyd's work at 130 and 135 takes it.......but not as clear cut as people make out cos his work above that was very disappointing.

I think it IS clear cut but I do agree that Floyd's work above 135 is disappointing. I'm still not sure what he really accomplished at 140 except picking up a paper belt. And I know he fought Hatton but it was 147 - a division where Collazo already proved Ricky didn't belong.

That said, Floyd has gone up to 154 (kinda) and beaten some solid fighters along the way. That sorta negates the premise that "it's easier to move up from 130." He's fought men nearly 30 pounds from where he won his first title in a seven year span.

All-time, Mayweather is somewhere between 50-75. I'm not saying this because I can name 74 fighters better but because his resume is still underrated from 130-135 but after that it stalled...then fizzled. For his legacy's sake (and to refill his account) he'll return.

I dont think its clear cut...........I also dont think its a fair comparison. Mayweather clearly has advantages over Joe in terms of marketability and ability to secure big fights. No one really cares about white welsh fighters - sad but true. And Joe's inability to secure a big fight for years whilst fighting in a mediocre division has held him down.

Mayweather's best wins for me -Genaro Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Corrales, Castillo 2.

Calzaghe's - Eubank, Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins

They both have a lot of **** in between, but Mayweather's **** smells better cos of the name value i.e Hatton at 147, Shot Gatti, Demoralised Judah, Past it Oscar.

PBF has the better res. Joe will get more props in retirement tho cuz he went into his mid 30s and actually fought his biggest name opponents in the twilight of his career. PBF has way more credible names on his res tho.
