I sense Dirk is ready to explode at any moment...he's showing signs of going back to his old self as he cracks from the pressure of having to talk BOXING lol--no doubt, he'll find a way to bring nationality back into this:
Well.......i shouldve known it was a waste of time trying to have a sensible debate with you.
Hopkins flat out ducked Calzaghe. Move on.
I hate to say it but you have no idea what you're talking about. Fighters dont have to sell PPVs to be popular - look at Pavlik, what has he drawn? But Id say he was popular.
I was also looking at it from a comparison to Kessler who is a European fighter that most people wont have seen much of hence less popular than Corrales.at you waiting to jump on any little thing I say to tell me I didnt watch boxing. I hate to say it but you clearly show you're not the sharpest knife.
If we're looking at it from a perspective from when Calzaghe and Mayweather each fought them, theres no one who is "leagues ahead". Both were undefeated young champions.. So are Kessler and Berto hehe. Come on, there's a reason why Corrales was ranked in the top five pound for pound and Kessler...was not. Of course, you'd have to delve into their resumes and know what you're talking about without poring over boxrec. Good luck with that.
You ask who Corrales was supposed to face? Who was Kessler supposed to face? He'd won two titles and got beat when he stepped up.........just like Corrales did. Neither had "elite" wins. Period.Last edited by IMDAZED; 09-24-2008, 04:22 AM.Comment
