Pavlik needs to fight Arthur Abrhams and clear out the middle weight division before making noises about fighting Calzaghe.

Is Pavlik going to jump up to 175? I doubt it.

Didn't Calzaghe fight Manfredo two fights ago? Now Pavlik doesn't deserve a shot?

I know right! That's part of the reason I don't buy that excuse. I don't really blame Joe for wanting to fight Roy, more $$$ and he is in the twilight of his career. But don't feed me bull**** and tell me it's chicken....

what a terrible spin, these guy are so high on themselves, it's ridiculous. talk about hand picking their opponents, he just wants to fight jones because he knows jones is way past his prime and very beatable now. lets put it another way, in a fight with roy jones calzaghe stands to look good, like he did against kessler, against hopkins he looked like **** and more than likely, he would have his hands full with pavlik. now, before i was saying that pavlik wouldn't be ready for a fight with calzaghe, but seeing how pavlik has conducted himself, i think he's ready, and he certainly has the fan base to bring sales to the fight be it PPV or ticket sales, provided it's in the states, no american is going to go across the pond sad to say, especially right now with the exchange rate.

the spin that they're trying to put is a joke and makes team calzaghe look and sound like a bag full if twits.................

jones has the past and calzaghe is banking on that, pavlik hold the present and the future, the future being up to him, calzaghe wants the easier route if you ask me for going to the past icon when he could be fighting the up and coming beast.

and another thing, calzaghe wanted to fight taylor, or he at least expressed it but now that pavlik knocked him out and beat him on the cards, calzaghe is playing it like taylor is a chump. calzaghe is looking like a chump more and more if you ask me, i like calzaghe, but this type **** is and looks bad, certainly isnt good.............

Yeah! Come to think of it... you're right... Manfredo is an easy fight for Slappy...
They're just making excuses, both father and son are totally scared of Pavlik... let Joe "200 slaps" Calzaghe, fight a has-been RJJ... if a stroke of luck happens and RJJ whupped his ass, black and blue... then, probably they'll say, we made a bad decision... hahahaha!!!

I liked to have got fired for acually laughing out loud on that one at work. Funny stuff. In all fairness, Joe has earned his right to choose his last fight and I have no problem with the Jones fight. I am a Jones fan and would love for him to spoil Joes going out party, like his was spoiled by Tarver. Whether anyone likes it or not, Jones is the bigger name and pulls more PPV dollars than any other light heavyweight , including B-hop and Calzaghe combined. (thats why HBO didnt put their fight on PPV) So, I say let the chips fall where they may, and my prediction is that Rjj defies the "Critics" and beats Calzaghe, forcing him to stay in the game to re-establish his legacy and that road leads to Kelly Pavlik. End of story. We will see how right I am in November.

If your not gonna fight him then keep your mouth shut, enzo doesn't need to come out here making himself look ****** and making an excuse(a sorry excuse at that) to fight pavlilk.People all know this guys a clown for making this statment.Joe has a better chance of beating a 39 yr old ex champ on his downward slope then a twenty something undefeated world champion that just executed his little buddy(lockett for the lame folks). What an idiot. By the way I never said I didn't think jones can win if he really motivates himself and trains hard. Joe is already what 37, he should have taken these type of fights years ago, he instead fought manfrdo and bika 2 count them 2 contender participants and bika gave him all he could handle. Pav would send old joe back to wales with GHOST stories of traveling to america.

I think Jones will be motivated for the first time in 5 years to get into championship form, and we could see a repeat of Hopkins vs. Tarver in this one. RJJ may pull off an upset.

In his prime, Jones would have been a nightmare for Calzaghe.

Pavlik has other business anyway with Abraham, and any up-and-comers in the middleweight division.
