Seriously people need to get a grip, and get over this already. So many other fighters have genuinely ducked fighters at the top of their own division for months even years. Here we have Calzaghe openly saying for months Jones is his preference for probably his last fight. Hows that ducking, for the first time he just had a choice that's all.

Pavliks young and not even in the same division, he's just the best America has at the moment and some cynical yanks are making this out to be something it isn't, just because they're desperate to hopefully see their guy beat Calzaghe.

He's taylor made for Calzaghe, it'd be a mixture of Lacy/Kessler all over again, Roy actually has the attributes like speed and ring intelligence that would test Joe more. All polls show Calzaghe is well favoured against Kelly, even Kessler is, so get over it ppl, seriously, it's becoming obsessive. Keep it in context, and leave the subjective rantings to rest already.

This guy has been the biggest farce in the boxing community. Joe ***azhe is nothing more than smoke and mirrors! They were able 2 spin the UK fans with this type of BS but its safe 2 say that the US can see through it! Hurry up and fight RJJ and go away! Could it be just because it's true, and all the cynical predictable ranting to the contrary with little to back them up, are not? I mean how much proof is there any of the cynical Joes ducking him, he and Enzo are scared, Kelly would win.

Everything points to the contrary. Calzaghes willing to fight a dangerous opponent like Pavlik, and did in Kessler, and won. Hows Pavlik gona be any different, people give better odds to Kessler in a rematch than Pavlik.

Say what you like about Enzo or Joe, hell I'm willing to criticise a trainer and boxer I'm a fan of as much as everyone should be. Joe can be a bit of a lame persaonlity, shoulda chased bigger fights earlier, shoulda ditched Warren years ago, should tried to get a Johnson fight back on track, can get caught by right hands. Enzo can be annoying, say ****** things, exaggerate his fighters, rant.

But Joe is not ducking Pavlik lol, is not scared of him, he and the majority of ppl believe Calzaghe would easily win, by polls, even when most whom voted were American. Just get over it ppl, this made up **** is not true as much as you want it to be. Pavlik would get beaten by Joe, Kelly's not being ducked Joes fighting whom he said was his 1st preference for his last fight, whom though past his prime, has the attributes and skill set more likely to challenge him in ways he never has before, speed being one.

i would have more respect for calzaghe should he fight and lose to pavlik than if he fights and beats RJJ.

that being said obviously Joe isn't fighting for my respect and honestly neither fight is going to firmly establish a legacy. the pavlik fight would do more but it would be up to kelly to move on and have a highly successful career so people looked back ten years from now when pavlik retires and say the only fight he lost in his prime was to

Truth be told, Calzaghe would LOSE to Taylor and anyone who saw Joe fight Hopkins knows it.

Calzaghe needs to stay on the "Seniors Tour" because that's all he can handle, he is a shot fighter who is too sloppy with NO power punches at this point.

Pavlik could go up in weight and beat the snot out of Calzaghe, so could Taylor, so could Abraham.

As to Enzoe saying a Champion like Pavlik hasn't "earned" a fight with his protected boy -- COMPLETE BULL**** -- just look at the list of LESS accomplished opponants who DID get a shot at Calzaghes' Titles over the years!!

Again, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck -- IT'S A DUCK. Although I have to admit, in this case it might be a mixed with a CHICKEN...

Let's not forget that Enzo also predicted that Lockett would have Kelly Pavlik and Jack Loew "eating their words on Sunday morning" after the fight.

Obviously he isn't the best evaluator of boxing talent and his opinions should hold no weight whatsoever.
