Everyone knows cotto's camp turned down a fight with floyd. They both fought on the same card here in fresno back in 03 when floyd was at 135 and cotto was at 140. The floyd camp had been trying to set up a date down the road with cotto at 140 hence them both fighting on the same card. When floyd came up to 140 as we all know the WBC is probably the most lucrative belt other than the Ring belt. People talk **** on floyd for fighting corley and bruseless but little do they know corley fought cotto just one fight after he fought floyd. And im sure people didnt know that Corley fought Judah just before he fought floyd and gave judah all he can handle in a split decision lost. Alot of people had corley beating judah. Floyd fought corley and bruseless in fights that were WBC eliminator bouts which he one both which gave him the right to fight gatti for the WBC belt. Cotto still turns down a fight with floyd and with no one else to really prove anything against at 140 he leaves and goes to WW. I think cotto won't say floyds name because he knows damn well he had his chance to fight floyd and he turned it down. Now he's just another name calling floyd out. Cotto wont make out of the margarito fight so no use in talking about them two fighting. I hope de la hoya fights margarito like the true "mexican warrior" that he claims to be. He said he wants to go out fighting the best, but watch him say no to a margarito fight if tony wins.

Macho, do you understand what I'm saying to you? Williams has a bogus title, margs and cotto do also. Cotto's wins over 36 year old shane, judah, and quintana(he didn't deserve a title shot) are not heads above floyd beating baldomir, judah, and hatton. And even if you thought they were, consider this. The undisputed champion is a man who has all or most of the titles ok. Floyd didn't have the wbo title which many consider not a true title. Cotto won a title because a champion was stripped. Same for Cintron, same for Margs. I see boxing as champions not being stripped. If this isn't clear enough, i don't know what else i can tell you. cotto had been fighting 140lbs since 2001 I think he only had one fight under that weight limit his whole career. Cotto was having no problem making weight. He was even coming in 2 or 3 lbs below the 140 limit. That's just the bull**** excuse people make for him and his chin. If he was weight drained how did he stay in that division for 6 years.

It was indeed Arum who turned down an offer from Mayweather to fight Miguel Cotto right after Mayweather defeated Aturro Gatti. Arum stated that "Cotto needed another 12-18 months before he'd be ready for Mayweather." The time came and went and no offer from Arum. Mayweather also went after Shane Mosley before fighting Oscar De La Hoya and he turned down the offer.

Mayweather offered Hatton fights at 140 twice in 2005, One in the UK, Hatton and his team turned down the offer, he did the same with Cotto and Arum and Evangelista said "they werent ready". I'll try to find the link and post it here, it was after the Gatti fight.
