I had it 114-112 for Oscar. I felt the point reduction for Whitaker was ****ing ****** though.

I also might be in minority here, but I think he beat Quartey too....I had it 114-113 for Oscar, with him taking rounds 9-12. It was pretty much all Quartey until then. 6-2 quartey after round 8, then Oscar won the other rounds.

De La Hoya won that fight without a doubt. Whitaker did nothing the whole fight but get punches thrown at him.

Well he knocked Oscar down and popped him with the right jab constantly.

Why was it bull****? Oscar got caught switching over to southpaw and Whitaker cleanly caught him.

The point deduction for the accidental headbutt was ****ing ****** though.

Yeah I agree with that. More than anything it was a slip/push. It wasnt a legit knockdown.

It's about 5 minutes in. De La Hoya jumps in at Whitaker. Whitaker hits De La Hoya's shoulder when DLH is off balance, but he wasn't down yet. Then Whitaker lands a hook on the inside that makes DLH go down, even if DLH was off balance (which he was), Whitaker hit DLH with a punch that caused him to go down. That counts as a knockdown.
