Many times. Here's a video showing some Pavlik one punch KOs:

He's actually KOed a lot of people with one punch earlier in his career.

More recently, he's been up against some contenders with strong chins. Let's not forget, he was the first to stop Lockett, Taylor, Miranda, Zuniga and Zertuche - these people are more difficult to KO with one punch.

And like another person said, it's wiser to gradually take people down with a series of punches, than to throw a haymaker and leave oneself wide open.

No, that's totally true about combinations > one punch. I guess I'm just never going to understand how Kelly is supposed to KO Wright... until it happens, if it happens.

I was talking about one punch KOs against top fighter by the way, or at least contenders.

Mayweather used to talk people out with one punch in his very early career, but he was never a puncher at the top level, even at 130 IMO.

When you get to that top level of boxing, you're not going to be knocking guys out with just one punch.

Look at Tyson-Pinklon Thomas, how many punches was in that finishing flurry?

Tyson could punch. So can Pavlik.

This thread is mainly about everyone who is predicting Pavlik to beat Wright picking it by KO.

I just don't see someone landing a flurry of hard punches on steel-chinned Wright to KO him, but that is just me.

He punches very hard with one punch and has above average power but he's not a 1 punch KO artist, he relies on wearing down his opponents then knocking them out in the mid to late rounds.

just b/c u dont have one punch knock out power doesnt disqualify u from being a KO artist...his record suggests otherwise

Co-sign. Not many guys actually have 1 punch finishing power. He don't always do it wit 1 shot but Pavlik is a KO artist 4 sho.

What has Winky done to deserve a shot at the undisputed middleweight championship?

First, hes coming off a LOSS.Then he hasnt dont anything in the divison since 2006 when he got a DRAW with Taylor.Imo he lost that fight. Before that he had a close fight with Sam Soliman?

Winky is still living off the 2004 wins of beating a very out sized Mosley.
