Does everyone still believe in Pavlik's one punch power?

[QUOTE=DWiens421;3632875]I mean, really, how much more proof do you need that he is a very hard puncher, but not a KO artist?
He took Miranda out, yes, but it took 7 rounds of beating, and Miranda got up after taking huge flush shots. The final combination that made Smoger stop it was like 7 or 8 flush shots to the chin.
He took Taylor out in the first fight, but really, it also took about 10 punches to get him out of there.
He didn't get Taylor out of there in the rematch, even though he was belting him on the chin for 12 rounds.
He took Lockett out, but really, how many times did Lockett look just like his brain was not working? He took a knee all three times, and was able to get up every time without much difficulty.
It makes me wonder why no one is picking Pavlik by decision over Wright, because I can see that scenario. But Wright has showed a great chin all through hhs career, and has never really been close to getting KO'd.[QUOTE]
Pavlik ends more fights than anybody by KO. ****** ****** thread......Comment

Great post, I totally agree with the above.. If he has speed to go with his power then he would pass off as a KO artist.Comment

Pavlik is not a one punch KO artist mainly because he does not even try to be.
Pavlik's objective is to land punches, that along with being naturally heavy handed without even trying gives him the ability to knock out guys that even one punch guys like Abraham cannot. (Miranda)
You can tell by the way he throws his intent is to land only. He does not load up and if he did, he would leave himself more vulnerable. I believe he would have one punch KO power if he tried, but I think he would already have a loss on his record.
He fights very very smart. It is a calculating effort on his part as he methodically breaks an opponent down.Comment
