Does everyone still believe in Pavlik's one punch power?

I mean, really, how much more proof do you need that he is a very hard puncher, but not a KO artist?

He took Miranda out, yes, but it took 7 rounds of beating, and Miranda got up after taking huge flush shots. The final combination that made Smoger stop it was like 7 or 8 flush shots to the chin.

He took Taylor out in the first fight, but really, it also took about 10 punches to get him out of there.

He didn't get Taylor out of there in the rematch, even though he was belting him on the chin for 12 rounds.

He took Lockett out, but really, how many times did Lockett look just like his brain was not working? He took a knee all three times, and was able to get up every time without much difficulty.

It makes me wonder why no one is picking Pavlik by decision over Wright, because I can see that scenario. But Wright has showed a great chin all through hhs career, and has never really been close to getting KO'd.

He has power but he isnt a KO artist, NO matter what anybody says he needs to land about 5 shots before he knocks you out.

he is a KO artist...cuz he knocks ppl out

just b/c u dont have one punch knock out power doesnt disqualify u from being a KO artist...his record suggests otherwise

He has one punch power in that right hand when he gets good extension on it but he does most of his work through accumulation.

One punch knock you dead power, say like a Hearns or Jackson? No. But 30 ko's in 34 fights suggests that the guy can hit just a little bit...

                  Pavlik's past four opponents:

-Zuniga had never been down or stopped before TKO 10
-Zertuche had never been down or stopped before KO 8
-Miranda had never been stopped before TKO 7
-Taylor had never been down or stopped before KO 7
-Lockett had never been stopped before TKO 3

These guys all had good chins.

Yes, Kelly has power. He's KOed many of his earlier opponents with one punch, but at his current level of opposition it's usually a combination of punches that does it.

He doesn't have Tyson like power but he does have decent power. Pavlik fights smart and doesn't try to load up on too many punches. I could see him stopping Wright at this stage of Wrights career, but I feel it would have to be through accumulation. I would go with Pavlik by decision over KO.
