Exactly. These same Pav fans called 40Cal a coward, but as soon as their fighter is called out, oh, he is signed to fight... kessler has not beaten etc. That is why fans should never be quikc to call a fighter a coward for not taking a fight. Half the time we hear about this crap before the boxer does. Kessler scared of miranda, 40Cal scared of Pav, Pav scared of kessler. That is why Pav has so much unfinished business at 160. Arthur Abraham wants to fight Pav, and said he wants Pav to come to the miranda fight. Max kellerman mentioned abraham, manny steward told you abraham can fight. Stop elevating Pav to iconic proportions already. He is still young. You guys will want him to fight cal, then dawson, then wladimir K. lol

I cannot see Pavlik wanting to face Kessler at this point in time. Kessler is just regrouping himself and does not offer anything Pavlik would want.

Calzaghe on the other hand was a huge target in the boxing world. A big enough target where Pavlik was willing to move up in weight for.

Once Kessler gets his feet wet again with a couple good wins, then he becomes a viable top opponent again. One who is worth the jump in weight. People need to realize that Pavlik just won titles in his own weight class. He should not have to chase people around, unless of course they are a bigger fish than he is like Joe.

You can expect a Pavlik vs Kessler fight maybe in 2009 sometime, unless Pavlik decides to move up in weight early.

First of all - you can quit with the "40Cal" crap - it's more like a "BB" now, he has NO pop, and hasn't KO'd ANYONE in YEARS.

Second, I wouldn't mind seeing Pavlik fight Kessler, I think it would be a fun fight to watch, but the all out "JOE is the Greatest" junk you guys are throwing around here is absolute bull**** - his entire career is LOADED with garbage opponants and half assed title defenses against "never could have beens". Calzaghe has faced 3 decent fighters in his ENTIRE career, in a word -pathetic. Now he is only interested in fighting on the "seniors tour" but that is no surprise, he has NEVER shown anyone that he really wanted to fight the BEST fighters out there - just the ones he thought he had a chance to beat...

I mean if you think about it, this would be like Vernon Forrest calling out Cotto right now. Forrest has nothing Cotto would want so why would Cotto jump a weight class to fight him? Now if Forrest rebounds from the Mora loss and gets back to the top again, then it would be a worthwhile adventure.

Kessler is smoking crack apparently. Why would Kelly fight him right now? The smarter choice, minus a mega bout with JC, is to unify the division. He will get alot more credit down the line if he indeed KO's Abraham and Sturm. As easy as it will be, once that is accomplished, then I say step up to SMW and stomp everyone in his path starting with Kessler.

If Abraham beats Miranda then Pavlik should aim for a fight with him next, but if he loses it will be hard to get anyone interested in the fight.
