Mikkel Kessler: "If Joe Calzaghe Won't, I'll Fight Pavlik"

Fighters say stuff like that all the time. Kessler is a gentleman, so is 40Cal and Pav.

Never said they werent bro...all great with sportsmanship.
The lead up to Calzaghe vs Kessler was great except when Calzaghe pushed his head against Kesslers face at the weigh in which was uncalled for but a heat of the moment thing I guess considering it was one of the biggest (if not the biggest) fight in european boxing history.

My question is::

Why in the **** is Kessler worried about a 160 pound Pavlik.....

Miranda called his ass out......fight Mianda....Fight Taylor.

Was a load of mismanagement for sure...Kess will fight anyone.
Why would he fight Miranda when he could have had an easier fight with Mundine for a belt too??? Mundine fell through and vacated his belt and Kess has a chance to win it back against someone easier (possibly??) than Miranda
But its his manager (Palle) pulling all the strings...**** u cant blame the ***** for wanting some gold back!!

Kessler is coming off a beat down from Joe. That is why he is calling him out, Kessler should go after Mundine, Lacy, Abraham, or Miranda. He needs to earn his way back to being a legit challenger.

He dont need to earn **** ... he was undefeated and hed 2 belts when he faced Joe .... ****ing hell give the boy some credit

Bute is the #1 super middleweight. As for Kessler, his whole reputation is built on the fact that he was competitive while losing to Calzaghe.

I don't have a huge problem with Bute being #1 due to Kesslers inactivity, but can we tone down the borderline ****** comments.

If anything, what ruined Kesslers reputation was losing to JC.

What makes 'the great Lucian Bute's' resume so much better than Kessler's? Is it that he is far less experienced, and isn't even close to being undefeated for as long as Kessler was? Or that he has fought and defeated fewer decent opponents?

Not taking anything away from Bute, he is definitely top 2 SMW and for some reason slips under everyones radars, but wake up to yourself.

I agree. His all around skills and that power might be too much for kessler. Kessler is just too easy to hit.

Kessler is not easy to hit. He's very solid, both defensively and offensively, has very good handspeed, and lots of power. He lost to Calzaghe mostly because of youth and inexperience, not because of some deficiency of skill or ability.
